About On The Big Stage: Festivals & Concerts
For large-scale events, I bring a full 5-piece band to ensure the sound matches the energy of the crowd. We prioritize a thorough 45 to 60-minute soundcheck to balance the drums, bass, and electric instruments, so the intensity of my original tracks and Bollywood covers hits hard without losing the lyrical clarity.
Stepping onto a festival stage is a completely different beast compared to an intimate cafe set. It is about capturing a massive, diverse crowd and holding their attention for the entire duration of the set. Whether I am performing at a college fest or opening for an artist like Anuv Jain, my goal is to bridge the gap between performer and audience.
My full band setup is designed for events with 200 plus guests, where you need that wall of sound to keep the energy high. We play a high-octane mix of pop-rock arrangements of popular Bollywood hits, English anthems, and my own originals like 'Jigre' and 'Main aur Tu.'
I treat every concert as a narrative experience. We don't just blast music; we curate the setlist to ebb and flow, starting with high-energy tracks to get the crowd moving and moving into deeper, storytelling moments. If you are planning an event, keep in mind that for the full band experience, I require a standard 5-piece drum kit, bass and guitar amps, and a professional line array system. We can discuss the specific venue layout during our initial call to make sure the audio setup is locked in and ready for a seamless show.
