About On the Judging Panel
When I am on the panel, I do not just sit there marking score sheets. I provide live mic feedback after performances so the dancers and the audience know exactly what stood out, which keeps the energy high even during technical breaks.
Whether it is a college fest, a community dance battle, or an online contest, I approach judging with the same energy I bring to the stage. I am looking for more than just clean execution. I want to see how you flow with the music and own your space. When you are performing in styles like Afro, Hip Hop, or Bollywood, I am watching for that authentic flavor that sets a dancer apart from the crowd.
My judging process is straightforward. For battles, I focus on your battle tactics and how you handle tie-breakers under pressure. For group performances, I check the team cohesion, the energy, and the stage presence. I am not here to just hand out numbers. I believe constructive feedback is how we grow the scene, so expect direct, positive comments that help you level up for the next round.
