Standard Event Judging (4 Hours)
Core Deliverables
- Duration: Presence at the venue for up to 4 hours.
- Scoring: Evaluation of creativity, flow, and technical execution specializing in Street, Bollywood, and Afro styles.
- Ceremony: On-stage presence for the final award distribution.
Audience Interaction
- Live Feedback: Verbal comments on the microphone after select performances.
- Engagement: Casual interaction with the crowd to maintain energy during technical breaks.
Visuals & Logistics
- Appearance: Judge arrives camera-ready in urban streetwear suitable for event photography.
- Method: Manual filling of score sheets provided by the organizer.
- Travel: Local travel within Delhi/Gurugram is included.
Full-Day Battle Judging & Performance (8 Hours)
Core Deliverables
- Duration: Full-day commitment up to 8 hours covering preliminary auditions to final rounds.
- Format: Adjudication for 1-on-1 or Crew-on-Crew battles using hand-sign voting or whiteboard scoring.
- Tie-Breakers: Management of call-out rounds and decisive tie-breaking votes.
Performance Component
- Judge's Showcase: A high-intensity 1.5 to 2-minute solo dance demonstration performed before final rounds.
- Expertise: Technical critique focusing on originality, musicality, and battle tactics.
Extras
- Styling: Option for outfit changes between prelims and the main showcase.
- Participant Interaction: Available for post-event photos and meet-and-greet sessions.
About Dance Competition Judging
My Judging Style
When I’m on the judging panel, I’m looking for more than just clean moves. I want to see the story you’re telling and the vibe you bring. I’ve trained with top bhaiyas and sirs across Afro, Hip Hop, and Bollywood, so I notice when someone’s bringing something asli (genuine) and not just following the crowd.
What Stands Out to Me
- Creativity and your own flavour on stage
- Technical skills - sharp footwork, clean lines, transitions
- Energy that grabs you - you gotta own the stage
- Musicality and flow - when you become one with the beat

Where I Judge
I’ve judged college dance fests, community battles, and even online dance contests. Being active in the competitive side myself means my feedback is current and real. My experience fits events where you want a Bollywood dance competition judge or someone who can break down Hip Hop dance judging criteria.

My Story
Yo, I’m Akshay – Delhi boi, dancer, and a bit of a wanderer. My journey’s been wild: from learning steps from my bhaiyas and sirs to judging dance battles and teaching my own crazy classes.
