Music for me always starts here. My classical training brings a level of depth and emotional control to every song I perform, perfect for settings that demand a more soulful touch.

With my tanpura, the instrument that connects me to the soul of Indian classical music. This is where my musical journey began.

A tired voice but a full heart. Singing 'Sapno Se Bhare Naina', a masterpiece by Shankar Mahadevan that is rooted in classical notes.

My attempt at singing Hariharan ji's iconic ghazal, 'Kaash'. Ghazals require a unique emotional depth and vocal control.

A beautiful ghazal, 'Salona Sa Sajan', accompanied by my father on the harmonium. These home sessions are precious.

Singing a 'bandish', a short classical composition. This is a core part of my daily practice or 'riyaaz'.

A cover of 'Sakal Ban' from Heeramandi, a beautiful song based on a traditional qawwali by Amir Khusrau.

A raw jamming session at home. This is a glimpse into my family's love for music and our chaotic, fun practice time.

Another pose with the tanpura, reflecting my deep respect and love for the traditional roots of my music.

About My Musical Roots: Classical & Ghazals

While I love high-energy party sets, these classical and ghazal performances are where I feel most at home. When I sing pieces like Hariharan ji’s 'Kaash' or traditional bandish, I’m not just performing; I’m focusing on the nuances—the 'harkats' and 'murkis' that give these songs their soul. If you’re planning a sophisticated cocktail evening or a formal dinner where music needs to be beautiful but not overpowering, this is the vibe I bring.

My journey with music didn't start on a big concert stage; it started right here, at home, sitting with my tanpura and practicing my 'swaraas'. This foundation in Hindustani classical music is what keeps me grounded. When I perform at events, I don't just want to sing words; I want to create a space, a 'baithak' (sitting) where the music feels like a conversation.

Why Book a Classical or Ghazal Set?

Sometimes, loud music isn't the answer. For engagement dinners, corporate networking, or the early hours of a wedding function, people want music that adds elegance without making it impossible to talk.

  • The Repertoire: I focus on the kind of music that hits the soul. Think timeless ghazals by Hariharan, soulful tracks like those from Heeramandi, or classical bandish that my father and I often jam on.
  • The Personal Touch: You might see me with a tanpura in my photos, but for events, I adapt. I can perform these sets solo, or with an acoustic guitarist and keyboardist to bring out that intricate, mellow sound.
  • Unfiltered Emotion: You’ll notice in my videos that I’m not afraid to show the raw side of my singing. Whether it's a 'tired voice but full heart' moment or a jam session with family, I believe honesty in music matters more than perfection.

If you appreciate the beauty of a well-sung ghazal or just want something soothing for your guests, let's talk. I’d love to curate a setlist that matches the mood of your gathering perfectly.
