Behind the Lens: How I Capture Your Real Moments
Photography is more than just clicking a button. Here is a look at how I set the scene, keep the vibes relaxed, and chase those candid stories across Mumbai.
This behind the scenes video shows the fun and chaos of a Haldi and Mehendi shoot. From setting up the decor to capturing the final happy moments with clients, this is how we make the magic happen.
A quick look at the setup for a Diwali model shoot at home. This video shows how I use simple decor and lighting to create a professional studio look and achieve beautiful results.
The world through my eyes. This is me, Ajinkya, doing what I love most. I am always looking for that perfect angle and that real moment to capture.
About Behind the Lens
You do not need a massive studio or stiff posing to get great photos. In my shoots, I often rely on simple, portable setups and natural light to create that cinematic look at home. It keeps the environment comfortable, which is why the candid moments you see here look so real and unforced.
My Approach to Candid Photography
When you see me working, you will notice that I am rarely asking you to hold a pose for too long. My goal is to capture the flow of your event, whether it is a chaotic haldi ceremony or a quiet diwali portrait session.
The Gear & The Setup
I believe in keeping the technical side simple so I can focus on the emotions. For home shoots, I use a light-weight mirrorless setup like the Sony ZV-E10 and DIY lighting solutions. This means I can move quickly without setting up heavy tripods that clutter your space. My process is designed to blend into the background. By the time you get your gallery back in 7-10 days, you will see photos that actually feel like you.
Why 'Behind the Scenes' Matters
Most photographers show you the polished final result. I show you the setup because I want you to know exactly what you are paying for. If you are worried about your home lighting or a small venue space, do not stress. I specialize in making small, intimate settings look grand through creative angles and thoughtful edits. If you have a specific vision, let's talk about how to make it happen.
Ajinkya Chavan
I’m Ajinkya, and for me, the camera is just a tool to capture the real stuff. Whether I’m hiking in Kashmir or at a haldi in Navi Mumbai, I’m always chasing that story where 'me' turns into 'we'.
