Behind the Scenes: How I Capture Your Real Wedding Moments
Ever wonder how those candid shots actually happen? It takes a mix of planning, a little chaos, and a whole lot of fun. Here is a peek at what it looks like when I am on set.
A quick look behind the scenes of a wedding day shoot. You can see me in action, directing the couple and finding the best light to capture those perfect moments.
Here's a little glimpse of the fun we have on set. I'm helping the bride with her veil to get that perfect "flowing in the wind" shot. It's all about teamwork.
A quick recap of some of the amazing couples and events I had the pleasure of photographing. This video is a celebration of all the love and laughter.
The groom and his groomsmen looking sharp. Capturing the camaraderie and fun of the wedding party is just as important as the couple's portraits.
About Behind The Scenes
I do not just stand back and watch. Whether it is fixing a veil for that perfect flowing shot or directing a wedding party so they look natural instead of like statues, I am actively involved. My goal is to make the shooting process as stress-free as the party itself, using a blend of natural light and quick, mobile lighting setups to keep the energy moving.
You might see me hiding behind trees or running around with a camera harness, but there is a method to the madness. My approach is to blend in as a 'guest with a camera' so you do not feel like you are being watched. This is how I catch the belly laughs and the teary hugs that actually define your day, rather than just the staged moments.
How I Work
- Lighting: I use Godox off-camera flash to keep things dramatic when the sun goes down or if we are shooting indoors. It helps me maintain that clean, vibrant look regardless of the venue's limitations.
- Posing: I do not want you to be a model. I want you to be you. I use active direction to help you settle into comfortable, authentic poses that do not feel forced.
- Logistics: From Borivali to Colaba, I have shot in every kind of Mumbai venue, from historic cathedrals to beachfront gardens. I am prepared for the humidity, the tight spaces, and the fast-paced nature of Indian weddings.
I treat the shoot like a conversation, not a production. If you need someone to help with that perfect dress shot or to keep the groomsmen from goofing off too much, I am your guy. Let's make sure the photos are as fun as the celebration itself.
