Karate Classes for Beginners & Young Warriors in Mumbai
We build strong foundations for kids and adults, teaching discipline, respect, and self-defence. Start your martial arts journey with our expert-led batches.
Our young warriors are a testament to the fact that discipline and strength have no age limit. This image captures our students demonstrating advanced bodyweight control and kicking techniques during a group session.
Welcome to our new beginner's batch at the Mira Road branch. This video shows new students, both kids and adults, learning foundational movements, stretching, and strength exercises that form the building blocks of their martial arts journey.
The first step is the most important. Here, our instructor guides a class of beginners through basic arm movements and stances, ensuring everyone learns the correct form from day one.
We make learning fun and practical. This clip from our summer camp shows young children engaged in a self-defense lesson, learning valuable skills in a playful and structured environment.
About Young Warriors & Beginner Classes
If you are stepping into a dojo for the first time, leave your expectations at the door. You will start with the basics of stance and movement, which might feel simple, but these are the building blocks that keep you safe. My classes are structured to ensure that even if you have never exercised a day in your life, you will learn to master your own body weight and movement control before we ever introduce sparring.
Our Approach to Training
We believe that growth only happens when you get uncomfortable. Whether you are a child picking up your first belt or an adult looking to learn self-defence, we treat everyone the same: with respect for the effort you put in. We do not just teach punches; we teach the Budō spirit—the mental toughness to keep going when things get hard.
What to Expect in Class
- Basics First: We focus heavily on Kihon (basics) to ensure your foundation is solid. This includes stances, blocking, and balance.
- Dard Se Dosti: We often say 'make friends with pain.' It is not about suffering, but about realising that fatigue and sore muscles are just signs that you are getting stronger.
- Structured Progression: From your first white belt to your black belt, the journey is personal. You are not competing against the person next to you; you are competing against the person you were yesterday.
Locations and Flexibility
We operate across multiple locations in Mumbai, including Borivali West, Malad, Mira Bhayandar, and Kandivali. Our training happens in diverse environments, from school halls to Gymkhanas, and occasionally on the beach, where we use the sand to challenge your stability and endurance.
Is this for you?
- Kids: We welcome children aged 4+ to build coordination and confidence.
- Adults: Whether you want fitness or practical self-defence skills, we have a batch for you.
- Trial: We encourage you to try a session before committing. It is the best way to see if our intensity matches your goals.
