See what happens before the stage lights go up. We believe great dance performances are built in the studio through discipline, technique, and teamwork.

Introducing our brilliant and hardworking team during rehearsals for our 'Krishnaa' US tour. It takes a dedicated group of artists, technicians, and crew to bring a large-scale production to life.

Full swing rehearsals with the Natyanjali ensemble for our performance at TEDxBNMIT. The energy in the studio is always high as we perfect our formations and synchronize our movements.

A rehearsal for our first-ever Kathak group composition with students from Natyanjali School of Dance. It's so exciting to teach and build new choreographies with this talented group.

Rehearsing for the 'Goverdhan Leela' production at the Abhinava Dance Company studio. The process involves intense focus and collaboration to bring the story of Lord Krishna to life.

A dynamic moment during our 'Goverdhan Leela' rehearsal. We use the entire studio space to practice the formations and interactions that will be performed on stage.

The dancers moving with energy and joy during a studio rehearsal. Even in practice clothes, the spirit of the dance shines through.

About this collection

When we run our workshops and rehearsals, we focus heavily on the 'why' behind every movement. Whether it is a sangeet routine or a classical fusion piece, my sister Spurthi and I dedicate time to basic technique training before moving into choreography, ensuring that even non-dancers feel confident, graceful, and connected to the rhythm on stage.

Building the Foundation

Great performances do not happen by accident. In our studio at JP Nagar and at event venues across Bangalore, we strip away the stage glamour to focus on the grit of practice. Our workshops are designed to be intensive but accessible. We break down complex Bharathanatyam and Kathak movements into manageable steps, allowing students and performers to grasp the essence of Indian classical dance without feeling overwhelmed.

The Collaborative Process

Our rehearsals are collaborative environments where ideas flow freely. For large-scale productions like 'TARANG' or 'DURGE', we coordinate every element from music selection and rhythmic structuring to lighting cues and costume fittings. We treat every practice session as a mini-performance, focusing on:

  • Technique & Abhinaya: Detailed attention to expressions and body language.
  • Sync & Formations: Ensuring that ensemble pieces look sharp and unified.
  • Customization: Tailoring moves to the comfort level of the group, whether it is a corporate team or a wedding party.

Why Practice with Natyanjali?

We believe that dance is a language. By the time we arrive at the final performance, our dancers are not just remembering steps; they are telling a story. We provide video tutorials for home practice and written scripts for rhythmic patterns, giving you the tools to continue learning long after the session ends. Whether you are prepping for a competition or choreographing a family sangeet, our process ensures you step onto the stage with total confidence.
