Architectural Exteriors & Landscape Design

I design facades and outdoor spaces that feel like a natural extension of your home. My approach blurs the line between built structures and the world outside to create a sense of calm from the moment you arrive.

A visualization of a residential building facade, designed to capture the beauty of light and shadow. The design uses a mix of materials, including stone cladding and wood louvers, to create texture and depth. I believe a building should be a visual art piece that speaks for itself.

This is a concept for a tall, narrow residential building. The facade design breaks up the verticality with cantilevered balconies, perforated metal screens, and integrated planters. The goal is to create a modern and dynamic exterior that still feels connected to nature.

A design for an "Aavyaktaya Home," where the architecture aims for timelessness. The facade features a prominent arch, textured grey concrete, and warm wood accents under the balconies. The curved details at the ground level create an inviting and unique entrance.

A view of a residential balcony at night. I used a combination of wall sconces and spotlights to create a warm and inviting outdoor space. The abundance of potted plants makes this long balcony feel like a private garden, perfect for relaxing in the evening.

Another perspective of the plant-filled balcony, showing the vertical light strips I integrated into the doorway design. This detail adds a modern touch and helps illuminate the transition from inside to outside.

A concept for a tranquil outdoor courtyard. The design features a large swing bed under a wooden pergola, set against a textured stone wall with accent lighting. This space is a perfect example of what Louis Kahn called "the thoughtful making of space."

This landscape design features an arched trellis walkway that creates a beautiful path through the garden. At night, integrated lights turn the structure into a sculpture. I agree with Luis Barragan that architecture, landscape, and gardening are one and the same.

About this collection

When I design an exterior, I focus on how the facade interacts with natural light rather than just following a standard blueprint. I use materials like textured concrete, wood louvers, and raw stone to create depth and shade. This layering does not just improve curb appeal; it helps the building breathe and creates a softer transition between the busy street and your private sanctuary.

Architecture is more than just the structure of a house; it is a visual art form. In my view, the landscape, the garden, and the building facade are all one entity. I believe that an exterior should be both a conversation with its environment and a reflection of the people living inside.

My biophilic approach to exterior design focuses on integration. I work with textured surfaces like lime wash, exposed brick, and rough-cut stone to add a tactile quality that standard painted walls often lack. By incorporating vertical light strips, cantilevered balconies, and strategically placed planters, I create spaces that shift and change with the movement of the sun.

Whether I am designing a residential building facade in Delhi or a tranquil rooftop garden, I look for ways to pull nature into the design. This might mean integrating a pergola for a courtyard swing, using perforated screens for natural ventilation, or setting up a custom water feature that masks urban noise with the sound of cascading water. My design-and-build process ensures that these elements aren't just added as afterthoughts but are core parts of the structural plan, ensuring that your home feels grounded and timeless.
