Spa-Inspired Bathrooms That Bring Nature Inside

I don't just design bathrooms. I create private retreats where the rush of the day fades away. Let’s build your sanctuary.

In this biophilic bathroom design, I wanted to blur the line between inside and out. A large window looks out onto a private bamboo garden, bringing a sense of nature directly into the space. The design features a jacuzzi bathtub, a pebble-stone accent wall, and a wooden ceiling to create a complete sensory experience of a luxury home spa.

A different angle of the nature-inspired bathroom, highlighting the clean lines of the vanity and the modern chrome fixtures. The combination of the smooth bathtub, the textured stone wall, and the warm wood ceiling creates a balanced and serene environment.

This powder room is all about raw luxury. I contrasted a rough, exposed stone wall with smooth, wood-paneled walls and a sleek, round mirror. The cylindrical pedestal sink and rose gold fixtures add a touch of modern elegance, while the integrated steam bath function makes it a true wellness space.

This view shows how the different textures in the powder room work together. The reflection in the large circular mirror captures the ceiling fan and adds a sense of depth, while the lighting accentuates the ruggedness of the stone wall.

A close-up detail of the powder room. Every element is chosen with care, from the warm metallic finish of the faucet to the organic shape of the soap dispenser, all contributing to the overall feeling of a bespoke, earthy space.

Here you can see the full layout of the lime-wash bathroom, including the glass-enclosed shower area. The shower stall features small, arched niches for storage, echoing the organic shapes found throughout the design. The floor is decorated with a bed of white pebbles under the vanity, enhancing the natural, spa-like feel.

A quick video tour showing how a bedroom can flow into a vacation-like bathroom. This master suite was designed as a complete escape, connecting a calm sleeping area with a luxurious, biophilic bathroom featuring a jacuzzi and views of greenery.

About this collection

The secret to a real spa feeling isn't just expensive fixtures. It is about the materials that touch your skin and the light that touches your eyes. In these bathrooms, I often replace cold tiles with lime wash or exposed stone, and I plan your lighting to create warmth, not just brightness. When you step in here, it is designed to feel like a deep breath.

A bathroom should not feel like a sterile box. When I design these spaces, I start with the atmosphere, not the plumbing. Whether it is a powder room or a master suite, I push for textures that make you want to reach out and touch the walls. I often incorporate lime wash or micro-cement, which brings an earthy, organic quality that standard tiles just cannot match.

I focus on biophilic principles, which means inviting nature inside. That could be a large window overlooking a private bamboo garden, or simply using stone sinks and wooden ceilings that remind you of being outdoors. For the lighting, I move away from harsh, flat bulbs. Instead, I use layered, warm illumination—magnetic tracks or soft cove lights—that highlight the natural ruggedness of stone accent walls and create shadows that help you relax.

If you want to go further, I integrate steam bath functions and deeper tubs, transforming a daily routine into a wellness ritual. From the 2D layout to the final site installation where I am personally checking the grout lines and stone placement, my goal is simple: a bathroom that helps you hit the reset button.

I’m Akshay. I don’t design from a screen; I design from the site, with mud on my hands and an eye for the stories materials can tell. My bathrooms are built to be your personal sanctuary, where the day’s chaos stops at the door.
