We believe being a teacher means being there for your student, always. During a Ganpati visarjan, we saw one of our students struggling while playing the dhol. A little tape and two minutes of care meant he could enjoy the celebration without worry. This is what our HMA family is all about.

For us, the bond with our students does not end when the class is over. Whether it is fixing a hand wrap before a Ganpati visarjan so a student can play comfortably, or staying back to master a tricky sargam, we believe that real learning happens when you feel truly supported. You are not just joining a class. This is a family that shows up for you.
Since we started Harmony Music Academy in 2007, our goal has always been to make music accessible and joyous for everyone. We are a mother-daughter duo who believe that music is for everyone, regardless of age or background. When you join our academy, you are not just signing up for a service. You are becoming part of a community that celebrates your small wins, helps you find your own dhun, and stands by you during your musical struggles.
We focus on a student-first approach in everything we do. Whether you are learning keyboard, guitar, or flute in our Mulund West studio, or joining us for online lessons from across the world, we want you to feel seen and heard. This means we are flexible with our teaching pace, patient with repetitions, and always ready to offer encouragement when you hit a wall.
Our students range from 4-year-olds to adults, and we love seeing each of them grow. We prepare students for Trinity College and Gandharva Mahavidyalay exams, but we also believe in the importance of simply enjoying music. We want you to feel comfortable enough to ask questions, make mistakes, and have fun. If you are looking for a place where you can learn without pressure and feel like you belong, we would love to have you with us.
