About Our Musical Family: Academy Life & Events
Beyond the scales and theory, the real difference here is our small batch sizes of 4-10 students. You aren't just another face in a crowded room. You get to know your fellow learners, participate in regular jam sessions, and find a support system that makes the hard work of riyaaz feel less like a lonely grind and more like a shared experience.
Learning music can be intimidating, especially if you are starting from scratch. That is why I focused on creating an environment that feels less like a rigid school and more like a musical living room. Our Goregaon studio is designed with traditional floor seating, known as baithak style, which helps with posture and keeps everyone grounded during long practice sessions.
We keep our batches small on purpose. This isn't just about efficiency; it is about building a connection between students. When you are in a group of 4-6 or 6-10 people, you learn as much from listening to others as you do from your own practice. We host regular get-togethers and informal jam sessions where students at different levels come together.
These sessions are where the real progress happens. When you see someone else struggle with a note and then overcome it, you realize that your own mistakes are just part of the process. It removes the pressure of perfection. Whether you are coming in for Hindustani vocal training or learning a new instrument, you will find people here at different stages of their own musical journeys. We want you to feel that you have a tribe here, one that supports you when you are practicing hard and celebrates with you when you finally hit that perfect note.
