Trinity Piano & Theory Certification
Core Syllabus Coverage
- Repertoire Mastery: Instruction on 3 required performance pieces per grade from the official Trinity syllabus with focus on dynamics, articulation, and tempo.
- Technical Work: Drills for scales, arpeggios, and exercises specific to the grade level. Emphasis on two-handed coordination and dexterity.
- Session Details: 4 sessions per month, typically 45 to 60 minutes each. Available in-person or online.
Exam Readiness & Theory
- Theory of Music: Integrated preparation for written Theory exams (Grades 1 to 8), including notation, rhythm, and harmony worksheets.
- Session Skills: Preparation for Sight Reading and Aural Tests like clapping rhythms and identifying intervals.
- Assessments: Periodic mock assessments to simulate exam conditions.
Support & Administration
- Registration Assistance: Guidance on the Trinity exam registration process, form filling, and date selection (exam fees excluded).
- Progress Tracking: Active monitoring of student progress towards Merit and Distinction results.
Gandharva Indian Classical Vocals
Curriculum & Training
- Swara & Raag: Introduction to notes (Sargam), Alankars, and Ragas prescribed for exams like Prarambhik and Praveshika.
- Rhythm & Taal: Training in understanding beats and demonstrating them with hand gestures (Taali-Khali).
- Class Format: Traditional 'Baithak' style learning in small groups, sitting on floor mats.
- Frequency: 2 classes per week, totaling 8 sessions a month to ensure consistent vocal conditioning.
Exam Specifics
- Performance: Preparation of Bada Khyal, Chota Khyal, and devotional songs (Bhajans/Shlokas) for practical exams.
- Theory: Oral and written preparation covering history of Ragas, definitions, and musician biographies.
Additional Benefits
- Accompaniment: Live Harmonium accompaniment by the teacher to help maintain pitch.

No shortcuts here. Consistency and hard work are the real deal. Sometimes we repeat a concept 20 times - koi tension nahi (no worries) - until you nail it. Seeing students pass with Merit or Distinction, and their happy faces, bas wahi toh asli reward hai (that’s the real reward).

My Story
Namaste! We’re Harmony Music Academy, mother-daughter duo, running since 2007. HMA’s not just a school, it’s our big musical family. We celebrate everything with music - Navratri, birthdays, Deepavali, all with a song and a smile. Watching kids and grown-ups find their rhythm, even taping up hands for Ganpati dhol, makes us proud. Age? Doesn’t matter. We just love seeing everyone discover their own melody, together.
