We believe play is the serious work of childhood. With 6,000 sq ft of outdoor space and dedicated indoor zones, we give children the freedom to run, explore, and build social skills at their own pace.

Two friends share a moment in the ball pit. This is more than just play; it's an opportunity for sensory exploration, color recognition, and developing social skills like sharing and communication.

Why do colorful play areas matter? Because they spark creativity, lift moods, and strengthen cognitive skills. Our play spaces are intentionally designed to make learning joyful, meaningful, and memorable.

A child enjoys a ride on a rocker in our play area. This simple activity helps develop balance, coordination, and gross motor skills, all while having fun.

A young boy explores different types of balls in a playhouse. This unstructured play allows for imaginative exploration and the development of motor skills.

A toddler practices his throwing and catching skills. Our play areas are equipped with a variety of age-appropriate toys to encourage active, physical development.

A moment of fun in the ball pit. Free play is essential for toddlers to explore their environment, interact with peers, and simply enjoy being children.

The best lessons often begin on the playground. Watch our children climb, slide, and explore, developing social skills, motor coordination, and a love for discovery with every laugh and jump.

About this collection

We don't just provide a playground; we create a structured environment where gross motor development happens naturally. You will notice our outdoor area features real turf and age-appropriate climbing structures, intentionally designed so your child can practice turn-taking and coordination without the constant interference of a teacher.

Why Play is Our Priority

In a traditional preschool, play is often seen as a break from learning. At Chimes, we see it differently. Our 6,000 sq ft outdoor space in Basavanagudi is an extension of our classroom. Here, children develop gross motor skills, balance, and physical confidence, but they also learn the harder lessons of social interaction—negotiation, turn-taking, and cooperation.

Designing for Discovery

Our indoor play zones are just as intentional. Rather than noisy, over-stimulating environments, our spaces are calm and accessible. Whether it is a child pouring water, manipulating a puzzle, or simply sitting with peers, every activity is chosen to build focus and independence. We use soft, open-ended materials that encourage children to create their own games, fostering imagination over passive consumption of toys.

The Montessori Difference in Movement

Movement and learning are inseparable. By providing a safe, prepared space for running, climbing, and exploring, we help children release energy in a way that actually prepares them for the quiet, concentrated work that happens inside our Montessori classrooms. This balance allows them to self-regulate, helping them arrive at their next task feeling calm and ready to engage.

We invite you to visit our campus to see how these spaces are used. Watching a child independently navigate the playground and then transition back to a classroom activity is often the best way to understand the Chimes approach.
