My Art & Life: A Peek Into My Mehendi Journey
Mehendi is more than just my job, it is my ishq (love). Here is a glimpse into the creative journey, the late nights, and the passion that goes into every design I create.
A mini-vlog of my day as a mehendi artist. It starts with mixing paste and ends with a beautiful bridal design for a wonderful client.
A reminder to always stay focused on your passion. A few years ago, this was just a dream, and now it's my reality.
Here's to new chapters. This video is a little montage of my life as an artist, from sketching designs to finding inspiration in nature.
A close-up of me in action, drawing a lotus with one of my fresh henna cones. Every design starts with a single, careful stroke.
The first step in aftercare is sealing the design. Here I am applying a lemon-sugar sealant to a bridal startup design to help it stick and stain darker.
About this collection
I spend more time preparing my henna paste than actually applying it because I believe a great stain starts in the mixing bowl. When you see me in these vlogs, you are seeing the reality of being a mehendi artist, from the late nights to the precise effort that goes into every organic cone I roll by hand, ensuring your mehendi is as safe as it is beautiful.
For me, mehendi is not just about the final pattern on your palm. It is a story. People often see the finished work and admire the deep maroon stain, but they rarely see the behind-the-scenes effort that makes it possible. This cluster is a look into my world, where I share the process behind my signature henna.
The Art of the Mix
I never take shortcuts. Every batch of henna paste you see me mixing in these vlogs is made from 100% natural, triple-sifted Rajasthani powder. I hand-mix these with essential oils like eucalyptus and clove, never using chemicals or harsh dyes. It takes time, it takes patience, and yes, it often leads to some 'kamar dard' (back pain) at the end of the day, but it is worth it when I see that perfect, deep stain.
Why My Process Matters
When you book me for a bridal or engagement ceremony, you aren't just getting an artist. You are getting a process that has been refined over years. I hand-roll every cone to get that 0.38mm tip, which allows me to create the intricate mesh work and delicate details my clients love.
Whether I am traveling across Mumbai for a wedding or hosting a class for budding artists, my goal is the same: to provide an authentic mehendi experience. I value clients who truly appreciate the craft, and I am always happy to answer questions about aftercare or design choices during our sessions. If you are looking for someone who treats your big day with as much care as I treat my own art, you are in the right place.
