About The Art in Progress
True mehendi art is about more than just the pattern; it is about the consistency of the paste and the steady hand guiding the cone. The videos here show exactly how I approach that fine 'jaali' (net) work and delicate shading. Because I use 100% organic henna, I can achieve those ultra-fine, crisp lines that hold up perfectly, ensuring you get that deep, dark stain without any chemical irritation.
I treat every bridal design like a canvas. Whether I am freehanding a complex peacock motif or carefully filling in a geometric net pattern, my focus is always on precision and flow.
My process involves:
- Preparation: I prepare my henna paste from scratch, 24 to 48 hours before your event. This ensures the essential oils are fully released and the texture is perfectly smooth for the intricate detailing you see in these clips.
- The Technique: You will notice my hand remains steady, even when I am detailing the smallest flower petals or the thinnest outlines. This control is what creates that clean look once the mehendi dries and flakes off.
- Personalization: If you look closely at my work, you will see how I weave names, wedding dates, and symbols into the traditional motifs. This is how we make the design uniquely yours.
Since I am based in Kharghar, Mumbai, but travel for weddings across India, Dubai, and Australia, I have honed my process to be portable and consistent. Whether we are in a hotel room or a destination wedding venue, the quality of the henna application remains the same. If you are curious about how I can adapt these styles to fit your wedding theme, let's chat.
