About Learn to Upcycle: DIY Workshops
Our workshops are not about theory; they are messy, hands-on sessions. Whether you are learning to ferment citrus peels into bio-enzyme cleaners or composting kitchen waste, you leave with the skills and often a prepared batch to replace chemical products in your home immediately.
Why DIY?
We believe the answer to our climate anxiety is in our own dustbins. Instead of buying chemical-laden floor cleaners or throwing away fruit peels, we show you how to use simple ingredients like jaggery and water to create powerful, natural bio-enzymes. It is effective, it is cheap, and it keeps plastic bottles out of landfills.
What to Expect
Our sessions are informal and interactive. We don't just talk; we demonstrate. When you attend our DIY workshops, you can expect:
- Bio-enzyme Making: Learn the exact ratios of citrus peels, jaggery, and water. Understand the fermentation process and how to use the solution for floor cleaning, dishwashing, and even as a plant fertilizer.
- Composting 101: We demystify the art of composting in an apartment setting, helping you handle wet waste without the smell or the mess.
- Trash to Treasure: Often paired with our thrift drives, these workshops show you how to look at old items differently. We discuss everything from making newspaper bags to giving pre-loved clothes a new life.
Join the Community
These workshops are about more than just skills. They are a space to meet other folks in Gurugram who are also trying to make mindful, sustainable choices. We meet on the third Sunday of every month. Whether you are a parent wanting to teach your kids about the planet, or a student looking to reduce your footprint, come with an open mind and leave with practical, actionable knowledge. No perfection needed, just a little effort. Hum sab milkar (all of us together) can create real change.
Zero Waste
We are a bunch of regular folks, moms, and students in Gurugram trying to bring back the simple habits of our grandparents. We mess up sometimes, but we keep showing up on the third Sunday of every month because we believe small, conscious changes in our own dustbins can create a cleaner city for our kids.
