About Purana Baksa: Our Community Thrift Store

If you are clearing out your shelves, don't rush to the bin. We’re looking for well-kept books, kitchenware, toys, and festive decor that are still in great shape. Bring them to our pop-up stalls or designated drop-off points, and we’ll ensure they find a new home, with every rupee raised going directly into our 'Urban Bliss' cleanup drives across Gurugram.

One person's waste is another's treasure

The Purana Baksa initiative isn't just about selling pre-loved goods. It is a movement to rethink our consumption. Whether it's that ceramic mug set gathering dust, a jumpsuit you no longer wear, or Diwali decor from last year, these items have stories and value left in them.

What you can find at our stalls

Our inventory is entirely crowd-sourced from household donations. You will find:

  • Books: Pre-loved fiction, non-fiction, and kids' stories.
  • Home & Decor: Ceramic mugs, glass tumblers, picture frames, and festive accents.
  • Apparel: Everyday wear and occasional ethnic pieces.
  • Kids: Rattles, puzzles, and board games.

How it works

  1. Donate: You share your well-kept, pre-loved items with us.
  2. Thrift: We sell these items at minimal prices (often ₹20–₹499) at our thrift pop-ups.
  3. Impact: The money raised directly funds our community cleanup drives, where we tackle waste in public spaces and nature trails.

Why join us?

We aren't a store; we are a community of regular people—moms, students, and professionals—trying to bring back the dadi-nani era of simplicity. We believe real change starts with what’s in our own dustbins. By choosing to shop pre-loved, you reduce the demand for new plastic and help save perfectly good items from ending up in our city's landfills. Join us this third Sunday to shop, swap, or just drop off a donation.
