Our Approach to Piano
We believe the best way to learn is by doing. Our mentors focus on playing by ear, breath control, and understanding rhythm, which helps you build confidence quickly. If you prefer a structured path, we offer specialized Trinity College London grade exam preparation, keeping the lessons centered around songs you enjoy.
The Studio Experience
Your learning happens in our acoustically treated, air-conditioned jam rooms. We provide full-sized weighted and semi-weighted keyboards (Casio/Korg) so you aren't restricted by equipment limitations. For those who want more, our mini-studio setup allows you to record your progress, analyze your pitch, and hear exactly how your tone is developing.
Beyond the Keys
Learning piano at Yellow Lights is social. We organize our students into small batches of 3 to 5 people to ensure you get enough individual attention while benefiting from the motivation of a group. Eventually, you can join the Yellow Lights Band, where you'll practice accompaniment and perform live. This is where you learn to truly jam, listen to other instruments, and develop the musicianship that separates a hobbyist from a performing musician.
