Special Performances & Workshops for Kids
Building confidence through the magic of stage performance, from festive dance-dramas to vibrant open mics.
A recap of a busy and exciting week at Wondershop. This video collage showcases the variety of our programs, including Hindustani vocal classes, Saturday storytelling, and our houseful 'Little Stars Open Mic'.
For Independence Day, our students prepared and performed a skit about their vision for India in 2047. It was a powerful performance that combined patriotism with public speaking and teamwork.
We were thrilled to collaborate with a professional instructor for a Kathak dance workshop. The session introduced children to the beauty and discipline of classical Indian dance in an accessible and fun way.
Our talented students performing a beautiful Kathak piece at a Christmas Flea Market. It was a wonderful display of India's secular spirit, blending classical art with a festive celebration.
The proud performers and their parents after a successful Kathak dance show. These public performance opportunities are crucial for building stage confidence and celebrating the children's hard work.
About Special Performances & Workshops
When your child steps on stage, they are doing much more than reciting lines or dancing—they are building a foundation of confidence that stays with them long after the curtains close. Our performance workshops provide a supportive environment where we focus on voice projection, stage presence, and collaborative storytelling, ensuring every child, regardless of experience, finds their moment in the spotlight.
We believe that performing arts should be a joyful celebration of community, not a high-pressure competition. Whether it is a patriotic skit for Independence Day or a collaborative Kathak piece for a local flea market, our process is designed to be inclusive and fun.
We guide children through the entire production journey, starting with script adaptation and basic voice coaching, followed by 6 to 8 rehearsal sessions. We handle the logistics like costume coordination and stage setups, allowing children to focus entirely on their performance. For younger children, we emphasize expressive storytelling and movement, while our older students explore complex themes and public speaking. Our goal is to create a sangam (confluence) of art and drama where children learn to support their peers, handle stage nerves, and express themselves freely. If you are looking for an activity that builds social skills and stage presence without the stress of rigid academic pressure, come join one of our upcoming performance cohorts at our Vikhroli studio.
Wondershop
At Wondershop, we believe every child has a unique story waiting to be told. We created this space to pull kids away from screens and into the vibrant world of performing arts, from dramatic Ram-Leela musicals to open mics. Seeing a child grow from shy to confident is what truly drives us.
