We make learning the basics a joyful adventure. Using phonics, flashcards, and hands-on games, we help your child build a confident foundation for reading and math in a space that feels like a second home.

We make learning numbers an active, hands on process. Using stickers and coloring, children develop number recognition and counting skills in a fun, engaging way.

Our number learning activities are designed to be interactive and creative. Here, children are using different materials to trace and fill in number shapes.

Our phonics program helps students recognize alphabets and their sounds. We practice blending and segmenting so they can begin to read with confidence.

About First Steps in Reading & Numbers

We don't use rote memorization here. Instead, we use tactile tools like physical tracing cards to build muscle memory before a child even picks up a pencil. It turns abstract letters and numbers into physical objects your child can touch, trace, and understand through guided play.

At Wonder Beans Gym, our approach to early literacy and numeracy moves beyond the classroom desk. We know that children, especially those aged 2.5 to 7 years, learn best when they are physically engaged with the material.

Our Phonics Methodology

Our Level 1 phonics program is designed to help children move from simple sounds to reading words with confidence. We avoid 'drilling' letters. Instead, we use flashcards that associate a letter with a concrete image, like 'D for Dress' or 'P for Pencil.' We practice blending and segmenting sounds in small groups, which makes the transition to reading feel natural rather than forced.

Hands-on Number Sense

For mathematics, we bring numbers to life. Children aren't just counting in the abstract; they are using stickers, coloring journals, and tracing exercises to understand quantity. By the time they move to our Montessori-inspired lab, they are already familiar with the shape and feel of numbers.

The Wonder Beans Environment

Located on Race Course Road, our facility is specifically designed for this age group. Our Montessori lab allows children to choose and explore apparatus like the Pink Tower or number rods at their own pace. This self-directed learning builds confidence, while our low student-to-teacher ratio (1:8 to 1:10) ensures that your child is always seen and heard.

Whether you are looking for our morning Playgroup or our evening After-School Enrichment sessions, our focus remains the same: helping your child develop a love for learning that will last a lifetime.

I'm Neha, and I started Wonder Beans to make sure kids don't just memorize, but actually understand what they're learning. Whether we’re blending phonics sounds or tracing numbers with fingers, my focus is always on making the process feel like play.
