I thrive on bringing specific concepts to life, whether it is a vintage 1950s era piece or a modern, abstract editorial look. My focus is on total collaboration to ensure the hair and makeup align perfectly with your creative vision.

A powerful stance from the 'Swaṟṇavalli' series. The warm, hazy lighting beautifully complements the gold jewelry and the rich orange of the sari, while the makeup remains sharp and defined.

From the 'Vibrant Retroad' shoot, this overhead shot highlights the retro-inspired hair set in rollers and the soft, 70s-style makeup with its warm blush and defined eyes.

This is from my 'Aquatic Allure' concept. I created a wet-look hairstyle with sculpted baby hairs and a blue-toned eye makeup look, embellished with pearls to mimic water droplets.

A dramatic, full-body pose for a high-fashion shoot. The look features a bold, graphic black eyeliner and a sculpted pixie haircut, creating a powerful and androgynous silhouette.

A seated portrait from the 'Swaṟṇavalli' shoot, showcasing the intricate layers of gold jewelry. I kept the makeup focused on a strong eye and radiant skin to balance the look.

A detail shot focusing on the ornate hair accessory and the sleek bun I created for the 'Swaṟṇavalli' look. It’s these small details that complete the story.

A full-length shot showing the beautiful drape of the sari and the complete makeup and hair look for 'Swaṟṇavalli'. The pose and lighting create a painterly, classic feel.

A close-up on the eye makeup for 'Swaṟṇavalli'. I used a shimmery, metallic magenta shadow to create a look that was both traditional and modern.

Another angle from the 'Vibrant Retroad' shoot, playing with dramatic shadows and light. The makeup and hair styling are key to establishing the vintage mood.

A behind-the-scenes look at the 'Aquatic Allure' shoot. You can see me styling the wet-look hair and applying the pearl details for this underwater-inspired concept.

About Thematic & Period Styles

When I build a thematic look, I don't just apply makeup. I collaborate closely with your stylist and photographer to ensure the makeup holds up under intense studio lights, whether we are applying pearls for an underwater concept or styling structured hair for a retro shoot. My process starts with a deep dive into your mood board to ensure every texture and color aligns with the final vibe.

Conceptual work is where I get to experiment, and that is where I am most in my element. From the 'Swaṟṇavalli' series to 1950s screen siren looks, the goal is always the same: creating a cohesive story that translates well on camera.

How We Collaborate

My best projects are the ones where the entire team is vibing on the same idea. I don't just show up; I am part of the planning. I study your mood boards, discuss the lighting setups, and help decide on the right hair texture—whether it needs to be sleek, sculptural, or wild—to fit the narrative.

Technical Precision

Behind the artistic choices, there is heavy-duty technical work. For editorial shoots, I use professional-grade kits (like MAC and Kryolan) mixed with high-performance Indian brands. If we are doing avant-garde concepts with feathers, face paint, or heavy embellishments, I use industrial-strength adhesives and fixing sprays to ensure everything stays in place while you pose. I also bring an assistant for longer or more complex shoots, so we can handle quick look changes, flyaways, and shine control without slowing down your production timeline.

Let's Build Your Concept

I am based in Bengaluru and travel to studios across the city. Whether you need a full-day campaign coverage for multiple looks or a specific, high-concept editorial piece, I am down for the challenge. Yes, the back and foot pain are real, but seeing a concept come to life makes every minute worth it.

Hi, I’m Shreya. I live for the process of turning a vague concept into a visual reality, whether that is a 1950s screen siren or a modern, abstract art piece. My favorite part of any shoot is when the stylist, photographer, and I start syncing up to make the vision click.
