Editorial Makeup and Creative Beauty Looks in Bengaluru
From avant-garde editorial concepts to luminous, camera-ready glass skin. This is a collection of my favorite projects where I’ve had the freedom to experiment, collaborate, and push the limits of makeup art.
This celestial-inspired look is one of my absolute favorites. I meticulously applied each pearl to create a textural, otherworldly effect, pairing it with a soft teal eyeshadow and a muted lip to let the pearlwork shine. This is the kind of avant-garde makeup I love to create for conceptual shoots.
For the 'Swaṟṇavalli' series, the goal was to create a look that felt both divine and powerful. I used a vibrant magenta eyeshadow to contrast with the traditional gold jewelry and kept the skin radiant and fresh. The sleek, adorned hairstyle completes this modern interpretation of a classic aesthetic.
Hair can be the main event. For this look, I spent hours creating a custom headpiece by individually applying green gems to form a sparkling, textured cap. I paired it with a sharp, lime-green winged liner to tie the whole high-fashion concept together.
This is from my 'Siren of the Sea' concept. I sculpted the hair into a wet, wave-like pattern using a strong-hold gel and created a deep, shimmery purple smokey eye. The single rhinestone accent adds a touch of ethereal magic to this dark, fantasy makeup look.
Achieving that perfect 'glass skin' is a skill I've honed over many shoots. This portrait showcases a clean, luminous makeup look where the focus is on dewy, healthy-looking skin, groomed brows, and a soft lip. It’s perfect for beauty campaigns and classic portraiture.
Throwing it back with this retro-inspired shoot. I had so much fun creating this look, complete with classic hair rollers, a sharp cat-eye, and a peachy-pink blush. It shows how makeup and hair work together to build a specific mood and era for a thematic shoot.
I am never afraid to play with bold color. Here, I created a striking emerald green glitter eyeshadow look, blended out for a smoky effect. Paired with a glossy nude lip and dewy skin, this is a great example of a high-impact editorial makeup look.
This behind-the-scenes clip shows the process of applying full-body red paint for a conceptual shoot. It’s a meticulous process that requires patience and precision to get a smooth, even finish that looks powerful on camera.
About Featured
When I plan a creative concept, I don’t just show up on set. I collaborate with your stylist and photographer beforehand to ensure the makeup isn't just an add-on—it’s part of the narrative. For technical looks like my pearl-encrusted or body-paint concepts, I spend time mapping out the structure so it stays put under heavy studio lights without making the model uncomfortable.
Why These Projects Matter
Every image here tells a story. Whether it’s the 'Siren of the Sea' concept or a clean, editorial beauty portrait, my goal remains the same: texture, precision, and alignment with the shoot's vibe. Makeup is the frame, and when it’s done right, it changes how the camera captures the entire scene.
Technical Precision
I rely on professional-grade products like SMA and Kryolan to ensure longevity. If you see a look with pearls, feathers, or vibrant graphic liners, know that I’ve tested the adhesive for studio endurance. My process involves:
- Pre-shoot Alignment: I sync with your creative team to ensure hair and makeup match the lighting and wardrobe.
- Skin Prep: I’m obsessed with the 'glass skin' aesthetic—I prep properly so the skin looks healthy, not oily, under camera lights.
- Conceptual Execution: For the heavy stuff, I bring a junior assistant to handle rapid changeovers and ensure the look stays flawless through every shutter click.
The Reality of the Job
People see the glam, but the work involves long hours of standing and meticulous application. I’m not just there to paint; I’m there to problem-solve. If the shoot demands red body paint or a complex headpiece, I bring the patience and the technical know-how to pull it off. If you’re planning a campaign or an artistic editorial in Bengaluru, let’s talk about your mood board and figure out the look together.
