Creative Makeup & Artistic Self-Explorations

This is my creative playground. When I’m not on set, I’m experimenting with textures, bold colors, and avant-garde techniques to keep my skills sharp and my vision fresh.

This was my attempt at recreating the viral Doja Cat look from Paris Fashion Week. It took hours of patiently applying thousands of red rhinestones, but I'm so proud of the final result.

My 'Anti-Valentine' look. I used red face paint to create a heart-shaped mask and surrounded it with gold glitter for a look that's both beautiful and a little bit menacing.

A look back at some of my favorite creative makeup looks from 2022. As you can see, I have a real love for anything that sparkles and shines.

A recreation of a beautiful look from a Simone Rocha fashion show, featuring delicate ribbons as tear drops. I love finding inspiration from runway shows and making it my own.

For this look, I created a mask-like effect using black face paint and embellished it with silver rhinestones and jewelry pieces.

A close-up of my Doja Cat-inspired rhinestone look. The texture and sparkle are just incredible in person.

Another angle of the red rhinestone look. It was a true test of patience, but absolutely worth it for the final effect.

A side profile of my rhinestone mask creation, showing the detail of the placement along the cheekbones and jawline.

I love how the sharp, press-on nails add another layer of drama to this dark, embellished makeup look.

About Personal Explorations

These artistic looks aren't just for fun. When I sit down to recreate a complex texture, like the thousands of rhinestones in my Doja Cat-inspired mask, I'm testing how adhesives hold under studio lights and how products react to camera flashes. If you are planning a high-fashion shoot or a brand campaign, I bring that same level of technical rigor to your project, ensuring your makeup doesn't just look good in the mirror, but performs under the pressure of a professional set.

My process is deeply collaborative. Whether you want a clean, editorial look for a lookbook or a wild, conceptual piece for a campaign, I start by understanding the mood we are building together. I don't just apply products, I construct a look that frames the model's features and fits the lighting.

Why my technical approach matters for your shoot:

  • Adhesive & Durability: After spending hours applying feathers, nets, and pearls, I know which professional-grade glues hold up against heat and studio lights. Your makeup will stay intact, even if the shoot goes into overtime.
  • Texture & Lighting: I understand how different finishes—from matte face paint to iridescent glitter—catch light. I adjust my kit based on whether we are shooting for natural outdoor light or high-contrast studio strobes.
  • Structural Elements: If the concept requires gravity-defying hair or structural elements, I have the experience to execute it safely without weighing the model down.

I treat my personal projects as a research lab. When you hire me, you get the benefit of those experiments. I know what works, what fails, and what looks spectacular on camera. Let's move beyond basic makeup and build something that stops people from scrolling.

Hi, I’m Shreya. I’m a makeup artist in Bengaluru who loves getting messy with textures and paint. When I'm not doing bridal or commercial work, you'll find me trying out wild concepts on myself, constantly pushing what I can do with a brush and some glitter.
