About Cozy Newborn & Family Sessions
The biggest worry parents have is, 'what if the baby cries the whole time?' We expect it. Our sessions in HSR Layout are scheduled for 2-3 hours specifically so we have plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and diaper changes. We don’t rush. You bring the baby and the feed, and we handle the swaddles, baskets, and that gentle posing that keeps them settled.
Photography in the first few weeks is all about patience. We focus on the 'Baby Bundle' look, using soft blankets, floral baskets, and tiny props to create timeless portraits.
What we focus on at our HSR Studio:
- Safety First: We always have an assistant on-site to spot the baby, manage lighting, and keep the environment stable.
- Natural Posing: We don't force complicated contortions. We use gentle, natural swaddling techniques that keep babies feeling secure, mimicking the womb environment.
- Family Inclusion: You are part of the process. We encourage parents to get in the frame, focusing on those quiet, intimate moments that aren't just about the baby, but about the new chapter you are starting together.
A few things to keep in mind:
- Timing: Newborn shoots are best done within the first 15-20 days. This is when babies are naturally sleepier and easier to pose in those classic, peaceful positions.
- Prep: Feed the baby just before the session. A full tummy usually equals a sleepy, cooperative model. If they are awake, we capture those eyes too—awake shots can be just as expressive and beautiful.
- Environment: Our studio is climate-controlled and kept warm. We use white noise and soft lighting to ensure the baby doesn't get startled.
