The Foundation of Our Academy
Warrior’s Cove isn’t just a gym, and we don’t believe in 'hired gun' instructors who just read from a manual. Our coaching staff is comprised of active practitioners and former competitors who have lived the grind of martial arts. We have been operational since 2012, and our teaching philosophy is built on what we have learned on the mats over the last decade.
Meet the Lead Team
Head Coach Ashwin Hoon As the founder and head coach, Ashwin has been at the forefront of the Indian MMA scene since its infancy. He doesn't just manage the academy; he sets the technical standard for excellence. You will see him at everything from high-level industry panels like the recent MMA summit at PHD House to the daily grind on the mat at our DLF Phase 1 location. His approach is simple: build fighters from the ground up, focusing on consistency and mental fortitude.
Coach Shaun (BJJ Brown Belt) Shaun started at the academy as a young boy and has grown into one of the country’s foremost Jiu-Jitsu technicians. Recently promoted to Brown Belt, his technical understanding is the backbone of our BJJ program. He is particularly effective with our youth and beginner programs, where his patience and focus on mechanics help students master complex movements without relying on brute strength.
Our Coaching Philosophy
We believe that a good coach knows how to adapt. If you are a parent looking for discipline for your child or a serious athlete prepping for pro tryouts, you get the same level of attention. We focus on:
