Cinematic Storytelling & Experimental Films
Filmmaking is not just about moving images. It is about using light and atmosphere to build a mood. This is a look at my experimental work, where I focus on raw narrative and visual depth.
This experimental film, "Discussing the Undiscussed," was a project focused purely on atmosphere and narrative. I used low-key, dramatic lighting and careful composition to build a sense of introspection and discovery, showing that a simple story can have a big impact.
About Cinematic Storytelling
In my short film 'Discussing the Undiscussed', I relied on low-key lighting to pull focus directly to the subject's face. When you talk to me about your project, do not just ask for a 'cinematic video'. Tell me what feeling you want your audience to have. That feeling dictates every light we set up.
Most people confuse 'cinematic' with just 'slow motion'. Real cinema is about control, specifically, light control. When I take on a film project, whether it is an experimental short or a brand commercial, I look at the lighting setup first. I use the Nikon Z9 to capture deep shadows and textures, giving us more room to play with color during the edit.
The process starts before the camera even comes out. We need a solid mood board. What is the story? Are we going for a moody, high-contrast look, or something soft and natural? Once we settle that, my team at VG Studios in Noida handles the production. We do not just show up and shoot. We plan the blocking, the camera movement, and the sound design to match the visual tone.
If you have an idea for a short film or need a high-quality ad film, get in touch. We can start with a quick chat about your vision and see if it aligns with how I work.
