Live Wedding & Engagement Painting Services
Watch your celebration turn into art. I set up my easel at your venue to paint the couple and the decor live, creating a custom portrait while your event unfolds.
This video shows the entire journey of a live engagement painting. You can see me arriving with my canvas, setting up, and bringing the couple's portrait to life throughout the evening, resulting in a finished piece by the end of the event.
Here is a glimpse of me working on a live painting during an engagement party. While the guests celebrate, I capture the central couple and the beautiful stage decor, turning a fleeting moment into a lasting artwork.
Watch as a blank canvas transforms into a detailed portrait of the couple at their engagement. This time-lapse shows the progression of the painting, capturing their likeness and the festive atmosphere under the lights.
About Live Wedding & Engagement Paintings
I don't paint from photographs later. I set up my station at your venue and paint what I see, right in front of your guests. For this to work best, I need a small, designated spot with a clear view of the stage or main ceremony area where I can place my easel, tripod, and clamp lights without getting in the way of the event flow.
How the Live Painting Experience Works
My style is based on capturing the energy of the moment. I do not work from reference photos weeks later; I capture the colors, the decor, and your expressions as they happen. This turns the painting process into entertainment for your guests, who can stop by, chat, and watch the canvas fill up throughout the 6-hour ceremony.
My Process
I arrive at the venue to set up my heavy-body acrylics and canvas. I typically focus on a 36x48 inch area, painting a semi-realistic portrait of the bride and groom against the backdrop of your actual venue decor. Since I am using fast-drying, vibrant acrylics, the painting is well underway by the time the main rituals conclude.
Post-Event Refinement
Once the event wraps up, the work isn't fully done. I take the canvas back to my studio for 2 to 3 days. During this time, I refine the facial features, add final details to the background, and apply a protective varnish to keep the colors sharp. You receive the finished piece in a protective tube, ready for framing, along with a time-lapse video of the entire process so you can relive the day.
