I invite artists to my studio to co-create music, blending Carnatic vocals, flute, and global sounds in a flexible, hands-on session where we experiment and learn together.

About

My studio is more than gear and walls - it’s like a creative jaathre (festival), sometimes a bit chaotic but full of life. I want it to feel like family, where we make music with love, joy, and a lot of learning as we go.

How We Create

I don’t stick to rigid plans. The best stuff happens when someone blurts out an idea and we just roll with it - “Yenadru idea bandre, let’s try!” (If you get any idea, let’s try it!) Being open is key. I usually end up translating between Carnatic music and Western sounds, finding ways to mix them so our collaboration has its own vibe.

What I Bring

  • Vocals: I dive deep into Carnatic music collaboration, mixing traditional melodies with dreamy harmonies or pads. You’ll hear me layering, experimenting, and always chasing that emotional punch.
  • Flute: The flute’s in my blood thanks to my Appa and Guru. I love sneaking its texture into tracks - it brings a unique feel, whether subtle or upfront.
  • Songwriting & Composition: I’m hands-on, guiding arrangements so our fusion recording experience grows from my classical roots but stretches into new spaces.

Our Sound

We can blend Carnatic, jazz, Brazilian grooves, folk, and Western harmony. Indian classical and jazz fusion is where the real excitement happens - there are no rules here, just whatever feels right.

A Real Story

My album ‘VARI’ was born in sessions bouncing between Bangalore and Spain, mixing folk, classical, and global music production. It was messy, fun, and full of laughs - and yes, chili bajjis were part of the creative fuel.

My Story

Music is my first language - I was humming ragas before I could talk, Appa and Amma cheering me on. My first concert? I was this tiny kid more excited for promised ice cream than the stage, and my mom looked ready to bolt! Watching that old clip now, I see love everywhere - Gurus, family, friends. Tyagaraja’s words ring true: ‘Endaro mahaanubhaavulu - Andariki vandanamulu’ (To all the great souls, I bow to thee). Grammy nomination or not, for me, music is love. That’s it.

My Work

Live Concerts, Collaborations & Workshops - I do live band concerts, soulful indie collaborations, studio sessions, and music workshops on Carnatic improvisation.

My Sound - I mix Carnatic roots with Kannada fusion music, jazz, and global styles. People say it’s soul food, warm and comforting.

The 'Vari' Experience - My album ‘Vari’ is all about flow – it’s a live journey, sharing energy with my band and audience.

Music Education - I teach Carnatic music, making it accessible for international audiences and curious new learners.
