Sangeet and Cocktail Night Decoration
For your evening parties, I focus on lighting and lounge setups that turn any venue into a high-energy club atmosphere.

A still shot of a tented cocktail party setup. The ceiling is covered with a canopy of fairy lights, and the pillars are wrapped in greenery, creating a starry night effect indoors.
This video shows a chic lounge area I created with an emerald green color scheme. The space is defined by green velvet drapes, a bold black and white chevron floor, and modern guest seating.
Another view of the emerald green lounge setup. This video pans across the space, showing the arrangement of cocktail tables, plush chairs, and the consistent use of fairy lights and chandeliers.

This video captures the ambiance of a romantic, red-themed cocktail event. The decor is rich with red roses, dramatic red uplighting, and elegant black furniture for a luxurious feel.
About Sangeet & Cocktail Nights
I don't just put up drapes. For cocktails, I focus on the floor and the ceiling because that is what creates the lounge vibe. We use chevron-patterned vinyl flooring to define the lounge area and cover ceilings with fairy lights and sheer fabric to close the space in, making it feel like a private club rather than just a tent.
When planning your Sangeet or Cocktail night, the goal is to shift the energy from a formal wedding ceremony to a party. I divide my work for these functions into three main areas: the lounge, the lighting, and the stage.
Creating the Lounge Vibe
The biggest mistake is keeping the furniture spread out. For a cocktail night, I group plush velvet sofas, mirrored coffee tables, and club chairs into clusters. This creates specific zones for guests to sit, drink, and socialize. Adding custom vinyl flooring, like a black and white chevron print, helps separate the lounge from the dance floor area.
Lighting is Everything
For evening events, standard lights won't work. I use a combination of hanging crystal chandeliers, fairy light canopies that cover the entire ceiling, and heavy LED wall washes. If you want a moody vibe, I use deep emerald green or red themes. For a more modern feel, I bring in disco balls and spotlighting to create that nightclub atmosphere.
Theme Execution
Whether you want an enchanted forest theme with hanging artificial foliage or a modern metallic setup, I execute based on the space available. If you have an outdoor venue, I use fabric canopies to create an intimate indoor feeling. For indoor halls, I focus on heavy draping to mask the walls and reset the room's color scheme entirely.
Practical Logistics
My cocktail setups generally require a bit more time for electrical and flooring installation compared to daytime functions. Please plan for a minimum of 8 to 10 hours of setup time before your guests arrive. I bring all my own furniture, drapes, and lighting rigs, so you do not need to coordinate with third-party vendors for these items.
