For evening cocktail and Sangeet events, lighting is everything. We often use dark drapes to absorb ambient light, then layer in LED tunnels and focused spot-lighting on the bar or stage to create an intimate, high-energy environment. It is about how the space feels when the sun goes down.

When designing for a Sangeet or cocktail night, the goal shifts from traditional ceremony requirements to entertainment and flow. My approach focuses on transforming the venue into a private club or lounge atmosphere.

The Design Strategy

For these events, I rely on color contrasts. Deep navy or black backdrops work best to make gold accents, crystal chandeliers, and LED installations pop. If you are hosting at a venue like Bungalow 5 or a local farmhouse, we use floor-to-ceiling masking to shut out the outside world and control the interior ambiance.

Practical Elements

• Bar Counters: This is the focal point of any cocktail night. I design these with mirrored surfaces, under-lighting, and lush floral surrounds to encourage social interaction.
• Lighting Design: We move away from generic wash lights. Instead, we use Edison bulbs for a warm, rustic-chic vibe or geometric LED frames for a modern, futuristic look.
• Seating: Since these events are usually standing or mingling-focused, we prioritize lounge clusters over traditional row seating.

How We Work
