I gave my own balcony a green makeover, creating a personal escape with a cozy khatiya for tea time. The space is filled with a variety of plants, a fairy garden, a bonsai, and even a DIY fountain.

This combination proves that different plants can be great friends. Here, the upright structure of a Snake Plant is beautifully contrasted with the rich color of a Purple Heart plant and the soft texture of Sedum Adolphii.

A closer look at one of my favorite plant combinations. The textures and colors of the Snake Plant, Purple Heart, and Sedum Adolphii create a dynamic and visually interesting arrangement that's full of life.

A full view of the balcony makeover for my client Spoorti. I combined a variety of plants in different white and decorative pots, arranged on artificial grass mats, to create a complete and cohesive garden space that feels both clean and vibrant.4
A closer look at some of the plants from the Sanjay Nagar balcony project. The combination of a pink flowering Poinsettia, a delicate white Snowflake plant, and a leafy green plant in a Buddha head planter creates wonderful visual interest.
This section of the balcony features smaller plants, including flowering marigolds and succulents in unique geometric pots. It shows how you can mix and match different sizes and styles to create a dynamic and personal garden.
For a more formal and modern look, I use sleek designer planters. These tall, white FRP planters create a sophisticated and welcoming entrance, proving that green decor can be both natural and incredibly chic.

We designed this cozy balcony seating nook, complete with a small table and chairs. The space is decorated with railing planters, a wooden trellis with a climbing plant, and artificial grass with a white pebble border.13

A classic apartment balcony garden setup. We used simple terracotta pots and metal stands to create a clean, organized, and sunny spot for growing flowers and vegetables, all protected by a safety net.
Here’s how a balcony garden can look at night, becoming a peaceful retreat. This setup uses a mix of large planters and rectangular beds to maximize growing space for a variety of leafy greens and ornamental plants.
For this terrace, we used fabric grow bags which are great for rooftop gardening. They are lightweight and provide excellent drainage for growing healthy vegetable saplings like the brinjal and tomato plants you see here.
