When we started in 2021, Urban Jungle was just an empty, fenced-in plot in Doddakannelli. Leaving behind nine years of corporate life was a massive risk, but we wanted to build something that felt real. The images here show the transformation from that dusty ground to the green space we run today, where we now manage garden makeovers and DIY workshops.
We often get asked, 'How do you go from data engineering to running a plant nursery?' The truth is that we just wanted to do something that felt raw and real. That dream started as a simple idea in 2021, and before we knew it, we were planning the opening of our own space.
Our garden center in Bengaluru is more than just a place to buy plants. It is where we experiment with the 'Chaos Cohort' planting style, host DIY terrarium workshops, and build custom gardens for balconies and terraces. Whether it is reusing an old jar from your kitchen for a new life or designing a complex balcony makeover, we believe in keeping gardening accessible and fun.
We document our journey because we want you to see the real side of the business. It is not always perfectly manicured. Some days we are fighting the Bangalore weather to keep our tropical plants happy, and other days we are just sitting with coffee, repotting succulents, and watching the butterflies.
