About Unique Styles & Finishes
When it comes to coffee-dipping your sneakers for that vintage off-white aesthetic, I always account for how the excess glue around the seams reacts to the dip. It is unpredictable and every pair takes the stain differently, but that organic, slight variation is exactly what gives your custom pair its character and a truly one-of-a-kind feel.
I love pushing the boundaries of what a sneaker can look like. While character art is my main jam, this cluster is where I get to play with texture and bold graphic styles.
My Approach to Unique Finishes
- Coffee Dips: This is my favorite way to get a vintage, aged look. I literally soak the sneakers in coffee. It is a risky process that can show hidden glue residue around the seams, but I use a glue eraser to clean it up. The final color is never 100% the same on any two pairs, which is part of the charm.
- Cartoon Drip Styles: I use bold, black, comic-book style outlines to make your sneakers look like they just popped out of a graphic novel. Adding a drip effect to the Swoosh or other panels takes that animation vibe to the next level. It works best on plain white bases like Air Force 1s.
- Floral and Patterned Art: Sometimes you just want something clean and aesthetic. Whether it is pastel florals for a summer look or intricate doodle patterns, I use Angelus paints and delicate brushwork to ensure the design is crisp.
How We Get Started
If you have a crazy idea, shoot me a message. You do not need to have a final design ready. We can chat about the color palette, the specific base shoe you are providing, and what vibe you are going for. My turnaround time for these detailed styles is typically 10 to 14 days, as I have to ensure the layers are opaque and the top coat is fully cured.
I treat every pair like my own. If you want to see how I prep these, check out my process videos. It is not just about painting; it is about making sure your art survives the street.
