Racing isn't just about the finish line. It’s about the 5 AM alarms, the flip turns, and the discipline we build together. Here’s what competitive training looks like at NMSA.

A fantastic weekend for Team NMSA at the inter-school championships. I'm incredibly proud of our individual champions and all the swimmers who achieved personal bests. This is what teamwork and hard work look like.

Our individual champions holding their trophies high. These swimmers dominated their age groups, with many winning multiple gold medals. Their success is a result of year-round dedication.

On the podium! It's a great feeling to see our swimmers' efforts rewarded. These girls raced hard and earned their spot at the top in a competitive inter-school meet.

A quick team huddle between races. I use these moments to discuss strategy, give encouragement, and make sure everyone is focused. The team spirit was amazing all weekend.

It's not just about the races. The downtime between events is for refueling, resting, and bonding with teammates. This is where the friendships that define our team are built.

Our amazing support crew of swim moms. The parents are a huge part of our team's success, and their cheering and support at meets makes all the difference.

Loaded with medals and certificates. These swimmers represented our academy with pride, and their hard-earned results show their commitment to the sport.

Our younger swimmers waiting for their events. Being part of a big meet is an exciting experience, and they handled the pressure and excitement like true professionals.

Another podium finish for our boys. Competing against hundreds of kids from across the city, our swimmers consistently proved they are among the best.

Capturing the emotions of our Mock State swim meet. This event was crucial preparation for the real championships, giving our NMSA Marlins valuable race experience and a chance to shine. We came away with 9 medals.

About Race Day: Competitions & Medals

You see the podium photos, but you don't see the thousands of laps, the video analysis, and the brutal endurance sets that get us there. If you’re serious about moving from casual swimming to competitive meets, we need to talk about your commitment to the routine. We don't just swim; we train, track your personal bests, and prepare your mental game for race day.

Success in the pool is a result of consistent, structured effort. My coaching philosophy relies on the ASCA Level 5 framework, which means we don't guess—we train based on data and technique.

Our Squads

  • NMSA Marlins (Ages 8-16): This is for the kids who want to race. We build a foundation in all four competitive strokes and teach them race strategy for inter-school, zonal, and state-level meets.
  • NMSA Jellyfish (Ages 25-65): Swimming doesn't stop at school. Our masters squad trains for state meets, Ironman events, and open water swims. We have lanes organized by pace so everyone gets a quality workout without the overcrowding.

The Training Environment

We operate out of top-tier facilities in Bangalore: the Olympic-sized pool at Wilson Garden, the 25m covered pool in Koramangala, and the rooftop facility at Domlur.

How We Work

  • Technical Precision: We use video feedback loops to break down your stroke mechanics. Whether it's a drag issue in your freestyle or a timing problem in your butterfly, we identify it and drill it until it's fixed.
  • Beyond Water: Dryland conditioning is mandatory for our competitive swimmers. We use therabands and core training to build the explosive power needed for diving starts and flip turns.
  • Performance Tracking: We monitor your personal bests (PBs). We don't just show up to practice; we track your progress so we know exactly when you're ready to taper for a competition.

If you are ready to put in the work at 5 AM and want to join a crew that shows up for each other, come train with us.

I’m Venkat. I don’t just teach you to swim; I teach you to race. Whether you're a young athlete gunning for a state medal or an adult pushing for an Ironman finish, we’ll put in the hours, the discipline, and the hard work to make it happen.
