About Performance & Competitive Swim Coaching
The Real Deal: What You Get Here
I coach swimmers who want more than just splashing around. We start early (yeah, 5 AM sometimes), train all year, and push hard. It’s not just about medals. I want you to find out what you’re capable of, and leave the pool more confident than you came in. PBs (personal bests) matter more to me than trophies, because if you’re improving, you’re already winning.
How We Train
Training is tough, but that’s how you get better. Here’s what we grind on:
- All four strokes, not just your favorite. Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Freestyle - everything. We work a lot on IM (Individual Medley) because being a versatile swimmer makes you stronger.
- Details matter: from those quick diving starts to sharp flip turns and nailing the finish.
- Our sessions mix sprints, endurance sets, and drills with kickboards and pull buoys. No shortcuts.
Beyond the Pool
Swimming’s not all about technique-focused swim sessions. You need dryland strength for swimmers, so we add strength and conditioning, and have physios on call. Mental strength for swimmers is a big deal too - we build that up so you handle pressure on race day. And yeah, we talk nutrition, because you can’t out-train a bad diet.
Who’s Here
Two squads: NMSA Marlins (youth, 8-16) - we train for everything from local to State/Zone meets. NMSA Jellyfish (adults 25-65) - masters swimming squad, because it’s never too late.
Where We Swim
We train in some of Bangalore’s best pools: rooftop at Domlur, 25m covered at Koramangala, and a full 50m Olympic pool at Wilson Garden.
You show up, do the work, and the results will follow. Simple as that.

My Story
Hey, Venkat here. Pool’s been my second home for 20 years—swimmer, coach, now just a guy who loves a challenge. Took my first break, tried aerial yoga at 40, did a handstand or two, even danced. Why not, right? I’m all about pushing limits, not just mine, but everyone’s. My students, they’re like family. We cheer at 5am, rain or shine. It’s the effort that counts, not just medals.
My Work
Swimming for All Ages - I coach everyone—kids, adults, masters, even triathletes. Building skill and water confidence is the goal.
Playful Pool Sessions - We do flips, handstands, and my classic cap drop. Learning’s fun, and you’ll get water-confident through play.
Technique Matters - We break down backstroke starts, dives, stretching, and more. I demo, you try, we repeat till it clicks.
Beyond Just Swimming - It’s about full-body aquatic fitness—strength, flexibility, and conditioning, in and out of water.
Team Spirit - Join our crew, NMSA Marlins or Jellyfish. We show up for each other, always. That’s the vibe.
