We (Nikhil and Gayathri) bring our Kerala roots and love for Indian folklore into pieces that feel modern but are packed with emotion and nostalgia. Stuff like the Manjadikuru (those lucky red seeds from Kerala) or the calmness of a kulam (temple pond) often sneak their way into our designs.
Personalisation, Two Ways
- Start from scratch? We go completely bespoke. You share your idea, vibe, or even a vague feeling, and we sketch, re-sketch, and dream up new designs till it feels just right.
- Like one of our pieces but want it tweaked? We customise—resize, swap wood for cane, or turn a regular unit into a pooja cupboard.

My Story
Hey, we’re Nikhil and Gayathri, and Tusker Katha is our little world. Started off just making stuff for our home, Layam, in Bangalore, but couldn’t stop—each piece had to carry a bit of Kerala with it. Like, a console with Nilavilakku legs or a sofa with kara fabric. Even a table that stands like a Kathakali dancer! For us, furniture is not just wood and nails, it’s memories—kulam, manjadikuru, all of it. We want your stories in your space, too.
