A personal collection of my favorite wildlife moments. From the quiet patience of a hunt to the fleeting beauty of a bird in flight, these photos tell the stories I witness every day.

I'll never forget this moment. The water was perfectly still, and this young flamingo stretched its wings, creating a flawless reflection. It’s a perfect example of the grace and beauty I love to capture in the wetlands.

Action shots are my favorite challenge! I waited patiently to capture this Pond Heron at the exact moment it snatched a small crab for its meal. It’s a raw, powerful glimpse into the daily life of a wetland predator.

Sometimes, you feel like you're the one being watched. The fiery red eye of this Shikra, a skilled bird of prey, stared right through my lens. It's a reminder of the wild, untamed spirit of these magnificent hunters.

The forest was filled with the beautiful song of this Tickell's Blue Flycatcher. Capturing its vibrant orange and blue plumage as it sang its heart out was pure joy. These little birds have such big personalities.

Can you spot it? This Indian Scops Owl is a true master of camouflage, blending perfectly into the tree hollow. Finding and photographing these hidden gems requires a lot of patience and a very keen eye.

It’s all in the details. This close-up of an Indian Peafowl shows the delicate, crown-like crest that gives it such a royal presence. Our national bird is truly a living piece of art.

There's nothing quite like the thrill of a bird in flight coming straight towards you. This flamingo, with its wings spread wide against the blue sky, showcases the power and elegance of these birds on the move.

I couldn't help but smile watching this pair of Wire-tailed Swallows. They sat on the wire chattering away like an old married couple. It's these little stories and interactions that make birdwatching so special.

About Featured

Capturing these isn't just about having a fast shutter. It is about the hours spent waiting in silence. Whether I am catching a Pond Heron mid-snack or finding a camouflaged owl, these photos are raw glimpses into the wild, unposed and untamed. I do not use call playback to lure birds in; I simply wait for nature to show its true colors and reward my patience with a shot.

Photography in the wild requires more than just good gear. It requires an understanding of the environment and the animals I am chasing. I shoot with a Sony a7 IV paired with a 200-600mm lens, which gives me the reach I need to stay unobtrusive while capturing intimate details like the fiery eye of a Shikra or the delicate crest of a peacock.

My work ranges from the chaotic urban birdwatching spots in Mumbai to the quiet, lush forests across India. In the Navi Mumbai wetlands, for example, the challenge is often the light and the wind. During the golden hours, I focus on the elegance of flamingos and the intricate dance of stilts in the water. These aren't just pretty pictures, they are records of natural behavior. When I photograph a bird in flight, I am not looking for perfection, but for the story of the moment.

I believe photography should never interfere with the subject. My approach is strictly observational. This means you might spend four hours waiting for a single, perfect frame, but that wait is what makes the final result rewarding. Whether it is a macro shot of an insect or a wide-angle capture of a raptor, my goal is always to showcase the personality of the creature in the frame.

I am completely obsessed with the wild. My camera is my constant companion, whether I am knee-deep in the Navi Mumbai wetlands or waiting quietly in a forest for a bird to reveal itself. I do not just take pictures, I share the little stories that nature writes every single day.
