About Our Community: Open Mics & Quizzes
We organize these events to bridge the gap between classroom theory and practical application. Whether it is a theory quiz or a stage performance, our goal is to help students get comfortable in front of an audience, which is an essential part of preparing for graded music exams.
Music is a social skill as much as a technical one. We host monthly open mic nights and regular theory quiz competitions across our BEML, HSR, and Sarjapur Road branches because playing in isolation only gets you so far.
Our open mics are designed as low-stress environments. Whether you are a first-time vocalist performing a simple Kannada song or an advanced guitarist tackling a complex piece, these sessions help you manage stage nerves. You learn to handle minor mistakes, adjust your posture, and project your sound to an audience. For students preparing for ABRSM or Trinity grade exams, this practice mimics the conditions of a formal recital, helping you transition from practice to confident performance.
The theory quizzes, divided into Sub-junior, Junior, and Senior groups, serve a different purpose. They turn the often dry subject of music theory into an engaging competition. By quizzing students on Carnatic music concepts, notation, and terminology, we ensure that the academic side of music becomes intuitive rather than something to memorize.
We invite students of all levels to participate. These events are not just for the advanced performers; they are for everyone, from beginners just learning their scales to those ready for their Diploma exams. If you are looking for a music school that supports both your technical growth and your journey as a performer, we have a spot for you.
