I love bringing the soul of classical percussion into the tracks you are listening to right now. From Bollywood hits to viral Punjabi beats, here is my take on the music of the moment.
What if three Karan Aujla songs were one? Here's my experimental tabla mashup, blending the beats of three different Punjabi tracks into a single, high-energy performance.

A serene tabla cover of 'Ishq Hai' from Mismatched, filmed on a boat. The gentle rhythm of the tabla complements the calm water and the birds flying by.
A cinematic tabla cover of 'Chal Diye Tum Kahan'. The drone shots from this rooftop performance capture the expansive feeling of the music.
About Tabla Takes on Trending Tracks
When I am adapting a track like a Karan Aujla song or a Bollywood melody, it is not just about keeping time. I study the rhythm structure of the original track and find the exact bols (rhythmic syllables) on the tabla that mirror the vocal inflection or the electronic beat. It is a process of translation, taking the modern vibe and grounding it in classical technique, so you get the energy of the track with that authentic, earthy percussion punch.
People often ask if classical instruments can survive modern production. The answer is that they do not just survive, they actually elevate it. My approach is to strip the track down to its core rhythm and rebuild it using the vast vocabulary of the tabla. Whether it is a techno-infused beat or a soulful Arijit Singh number, I ensure the tabla is not just a background layer but an active voice in the arrangement.
My Fusion Process
- Deconstruction: I listen to the original track on loop, identifying the kick, snare, and hi-hat patterns that the digital drums are handling.
- Adaptation: I map those patterns onto the dagga (left side) and dayan (right side) of the tabla. For faster Punjabi tracks, I incorporate Dholak-inspired movements to get that high-energy, percussive drive.
- Recording: Everything is captured with a high-fidelity setup to ensure the subtle nuances of the finger strokes remain crisp, whether I am recording in the studio or on a rooftop.
Why It Works
The human touch of a real drum beats a programmed loop every time. It adds a live feel that transforms a standard radio hit into something that commands attention. If you are a producer or a content creator looking to give your covers or original tracks a unique percussion edge, let us jam. I work across genres, from lo-fi beats to heavy-hitting Bollywood fusion. If you have a track that needs a new soul, just send it over.
