Essential Life Skills Workshops for Children
Empowering children with the confidence and tools they need to navigate the world safely and mindfully, right here in Namma Bengaluru.
An announcement for our annual "Good Touch, Bad Touch" workshop. It is so important to empower children with the knowledge to understand personal boundaries and stay safe.
A look inside our "Good Touch, Bad Touch" session. Using stories and interactive discussions, we teach children about body safety in a gentle and easy-to-understand manner.
We also host sessions on important modern topics like "Gadget De-Addiction." A child psychologist shares strategies with parents and children to foster healthier screen time habits.
About Essential Life Skills
My sessions are not lectures where children sit quietly; they are interactive conversations. Whether we are tackling personal safety or managing screen habits, my goal is to create a space where kids feel comfortable asking questions. We use relatable stories to turn abstract concepts into practical habits they can actually use in their daily lives.
Building Safety and Awareness
I believe that childhood is about more than just academics. It is about understanding the world and how to move through it safely. My "Good Touch, Bad Touch" workshops are designed to strip away the awkwardness that often surrounds these topics. By using puppets, storytelling, and open dialogue, I help children identify their own body boundaries and understand that they always have the right to say no. The goal is to make them feel empowered, not scared, so they know exactly what to do if they ever feel uncomfortable.
Finding Balance in a Digital Age
We all know the struggle of keeping kids away from screens. Instead of just setting strict rules, I work with child psychologists to run "Gadget De-Addiction" sessions. These aren't about banning technology, but about helping both parents and children understand why we crave it and how we can swap that screen time for more fulfilling activities. We discuss practical strategies that families can actually implement at home, without the daily arguments.
Why This Matters
These sessions are about emotional intelligence. When a child understands their boundaries, they grow more confident. When they learn to manage their own time, they develop better discipline. My library in Malleshpalya serves as a hub for this kind of growth. It is a place where we learn to communicate, empathize, and grow—together as a community.
