A cage-free, home-based environment in Gurgaon where dogs are treated as family, not boarders. See how we prioritize understanding and comfort over control.

This is what peace looks like at my home boarding. When your dog stays with me, they get to be a dog. They can relax on the cool grass, listen to the sounds of nature, and just unwind in a safe, comfortable space. This is Brie, one of our happy boarders, enjoying a quiet moment in the garden.

This is Loochi's story. She came to my Board & Train program with severe food aggression, biting anyone who came near her food. Through patience and building trust, she learned to feel secure. Now, she can enjoy her meals and even play with a food toy, trusting the humans around her. This is the power of force-free training.

I want to share a real-time training moment. Here, my dog Ezra was defaulting to an old, unwanted behavior because he was upset. Instead of correcting him, I gave him space and used my body language to show I wasn't a threat. Understanding his emotions is the first step to helping him, and it's a core part of my philosophy.

A walk should be for your dog. I encourage decompression walks on a long leash, allowing them to sniff and explore at their own pace. This simple change can reduce anxiety and make walks more relaxing for both of you. It’s about slowing down and connecting with your dog.

Ever wonder what the first day of a Board & Train program looks like? It's all about gentle acclimatization. We start with getting familiar with the new space, taking calm outdoor walks with lots of sniff breaks, and ensuring there's ample time for rest. There's no pressure, just a slow and steady introduction to their home away from home.

Meet Bambi. When she first arrived for her Board & Train, she was so fearful she wouldn't leave her pen for 24 hours. With time, patience, and a focus on building trust, she started eating from my hand and eventually began walking fearlessly. Every dog's journey is unique, and I'm here to support them through it.

I often get asked if letting dogs on the sofa or bed causes behavior issues. The answer is no. Providing comfortable, safe spaces for your dog to rest, like this happy pup on the sofa, helps build a positive association with their environment. A comfy dog is a happy dog.

Welcome to my pack! This is my family: my Golden Retriever, Rottweiler, and Indie. When your dog boards with me, they become a part of this pack, learning to socialize in a managed and safe environment. They are the heart of my home.

About Featured

The biggest difference between a traditional kennel and my home boarding is the complete lack of cages. Dogs here sleep on sofas, nap on beds, and run in our private garden, just like they do at home. I manage our pack carefully to ensure every guest, from the anxious rescue to the high-energy pup, feels safe, seen, and respected throughout their stay.

When I started The Wizard of Dogs in Gurgaon, my goal was to create a space that feels like a holiday, not a facility. In my Sector 17B residence, we focus on a routine that prioritizes decompression. This means 2-3 daily long-line walks where sniffing is encouraged, mental stimulation through lick mats, and, most importantly, rest.

Why Force-Free Matters

Whether you are looking for home boarding or residential rehabilitation, my methods remain the same: force-free, positive reinforcement. I don't use fear or intimidation to get compliance. Instead, I use body language, consent, and trust-building. If a dog is reactive or anxious, we start with a 'cortisol detox'—a period of rest to lower their baseline stress before we even begin training.

A Customized Approach

No two dogs are the same. A pup coming in for fear-based reactivity needs a different routine than a friendly dog just looking for a playmate. That is why I do a deep dive into your dog's history before they check in. My resident dogs—a Rottweiler, a Golden Retriever, and an Indie—help provide a 'social buffer,' teaching guests how to interact safely and calmly.

We provide 24/7 climate-controlled comfort, but the real benefit is the supervision. Because I am a KPA CTP certified behaviorist, I am constantly watching for subtle signs of stress, pain, or discomfort that others might miss. You are not just leaving your dog with a sitter; you are leaving them with a professional who knows how to listen to what your dog is saying.
