Real behavior change isn't about control, it's about listening. I help you decode what your dog is trying to say so you can build a relationship based on trust, not fear.

A little bit about me. I'm Aishani, a certified dog behavior specialist living in Gurgaon with my husband and our three dogs. I left my corporate job to follow my passion, and my work is all about helping people understand their dogs better.

"Only the learner gets to decide how they feel about the things being taught to them." This is the foundation of my force-free philosophy. A shock collar on a low setting might feel like nothing to us, but for the dog, it can create fear and anxiety that has lasting consequences.

I believe you got a dog so you could spoil them, and that's okay. Providing love, comfort, and enrichment isn't spoiling, it's meeting their needs. The problem is never the spoiling, but a lack of understanding or boundaries.

Punishment-based training can have serious fallout. I consulted on a case where a dog, previously trained with force, bit his owner who simply bent down near him. The dog anticipated punishment and reacted defensively. Positive training may take longer, but it builds trust, not fear.

It's okay for dogs in the same household to not get along all the time. Just like people, they need their own space. I recommend separate feeding and resting areas and understanding each dog's individual triggers to create a peaceful home.

About My Philosophy: Understanding Over Control

When you see a behavior you don't like, your first instinct might be to suppress it. I ask you to pause instead. Is your dog fearful, in pain, or just overstimulated? Treating the root cause rather than the symptoms is the only way to get a permanent change in how your dog interacts with the world.

I often hear owners say they want to 'control' their dog. But think about it—you already control what they eat and when they walk. Control is not the missing piece. Understanding is.

Many of the dogs I consult for have been trained using force and punishment in the past. This approach often seems to work instantly, but it creates deep-seated fallouts. I once worked with a Golden Retriever who was previously trained with force; he bit his owner simply because he anticipated punishment before a command was even given. That is the true cost of fear-based training.

My philosophy is built on empathy, consent, and choice. Whether I am working on aggression, anxiety, or basic manners, I look at what your dog is feeling. I teach you to read your dog's body language—from their subtle calming signals to signs of stress—so you can respond with support instead of a correction.

Positive reinforcement may take longer than a 'quick fix,' but it builds a bond that lasts a lifetime. If you are ready to stop commanding and start communicating, I am here to help you and your dog find a better way forward.

I am Aishani. I left my corporate career to help dogs because I believe they deserve a voice, not just a set of rules. I live in Gurgaon with my husband and our three dogs, and I approach every training session the way I treat them—with patience, empathy, and plenty of room to learn.
