When you travel, your dog deserves more than a kennel. Here, they join my family pack for a stress-free stay with plenty of room to sniff, nap, and just be themselves.

After a dog experiences big emotions, they need a safe space to decompress and "fill their cup." This could mean resting on a comfy bed without being disturbed. I always take cues from the dog on what they need, rather than deciding for them.

After a stressful walk, my first instinct might be to hug my dog, but it's important to ask for their consent. Here, I'm letting Maya tell me how she wants to be comforted. Sometimes, just being present and calm is the best support you can offer.

A look at some of the wonderful dogs who spent their holidays with us. Each one becomes a temporary member of our family pack, enjoying walks, playtime, and lots of cuddles.

Age is just a number when it comes to zoomies! This is Whiskey, a 5-year-old pug, enjoying a burst of energy on the bed during his stay. My home is a place where dogs are allowed to be themselves and have fun.

Giving my three dogs time to run and play off-leash in a safe, enclosed area is crucial for their happiness. This is a key part of the enrichment I provide for all dogs who stay with me, ensuring they get the physical and mental exercise they need.

About A Home Away From Home: The Boarding Experience

My home boarding is not a kennel experience. Your dog gets 24/7 access to our home, including sofas and beds, with 2-3 long-line decompression walks daily. I focus on routine, mental enrichment, and, most importantly, giving them the space to choose how they relax.
