About Cricket IQ: Masterclass Series
Technical skill is only half the battle. Unless you understand the geometry of your shot, you are guessing against the bowler. We focus on teaching you to judge length early and move your feet with purpose, effectively turning defensive moments into scoring opportunities.
Master the Crease
Cricket is a game of decision-making. Our Masterclass Series focuses on the mechanics that allow you to react correctly under pressure. We do not just show you how to play a shot, we explain the physics and strategy behind it.
The Sweep Shot
This is your primary weapon against spinners. When a bowler settles into a rhythm, the sweep disrupts their line and length. You must anticipate the release and commit fully to the shot to force the bowler to change their strategy.
Playing Bodyline
Short-pitched deliveries aimed at your body are meant to intimidate. You have three clear paths. You can defend with soft hands, duck to let the ball pass, or counter with the pull or hook shot. Staying side-on with your bat close to the pads protects you while you wait for the right delivery to attack.
Back Foot Mechanics
Back foot batting relies on judging length quickly. You must bend your back knee before impact to generate the power needed for cut shots and glances. Going with the line of the ball and adjusting your speed to match the delivery ensures you stay in control.
We provide personalized training at our Sector 63 academy in Gurugram, where we use video analysis to ensure these techniques become muscle memory.
