Honestly, this is the spot to come when you want to forget you are even in Bangalore. We have kept the setting completely open-air and green, which means it gets pretty magical as the sun goes down and the string lights come on. Just a heads-up, since it is a garden space, bring a light jacket if you are visiting in the cooler months, and if you are planning a weekend dinner, booking a table in advance is a smart move to make sure you get one of the better spots near the garden.
When we started The Fat Chef, we did not want another sterile, indoor mall restaurant. We wanted a place that breathed. Tucked away in Whitefield, our space is built around old Bangalore vibes—think open garden, rustic seating, and enough space for your dogs to hang out under the table while you eat. It is that laid-back, quiet energy you usually have to drive all the way to a coastal town to find.
We lean into the atmosphere. The space transitions from a bright, breezy lunch spot to a romantic, candlelit venue by 8 PM. It is casual enough for a lunch with the family, but the vibe shifts completely at night, making it a go-to for quiet dates or a chill catch-up with friends. We know a good vibe does not mean much without good food. Our kitchen keeps things fresh and honest. You will see people here for everything from our signature Lion King Burger and steaks to our Sunday brunch cocktails.
Because we are an open-air venue, we take our pet-friendly policy seriously. We love hosting pets, and we have plenty of space for them to be comfortable. If you are coming for our live music sessions, expect the energy to pick up. We keep the stage intimate, so you are never too far from the sound. Whether you are here to escape the work week, celebrate a birthday in the garden, or just unwind with a glass of wine, we have got a corner waiting for you.
