Our Design Process: Turning Ideas into Reality
Before we build, we map it out. Explore how we translate your vision into practical layouts and visual guides, ensuring you know exactly how your space will look before the construction begins.
This video illustrates our design process, showing how a technical 2D elevation drawing for a kitchen is transformed into a photorealistic 3D render. This helps clients visualize the final outcome with complete clarity.
A mood board is the starting point of our creative process. It's a canvas where we gather inspiration, define a color palette, and select textures and materials to establish the overall look and feel of a project.
This mood board explores a minimal, warm, and organic design direction. It combines natural materials like rattan and light wood with soft, neutral colors and simple forms to create a sense of calm and elegance.
A landscape-inspired mood board showing how we pull together different elements. It features a palette of greens, natural wood furniture, a round mirror, and metallic lighting to create a cohesive, nature-inspired interior.
A flat-lay of a material palette we curated. This composition includes wood sticks, stone samples, fabric swatches, and greenery, demonstrating how we combine different textures to create a rich and harmonious design.
This is another example of a material board, focusing on a sophisticated palette of wood, stone, and metal. We use these boards to ensure all elements, from flooring to fixtures, work together perfectly.
The details make the design. These are paint and stain samples on wood, a crucial step where we test colors and finishes to find the perfect combination for a project's furniture and fixtures.
About this collection
We walk you through every phase, ensuring you see your project before it becomes a reality. Whether we are planning a home renovation or a commercial showroom, we translate your ideas into detailed mood boards and 3D renders so you can approve every texture and angle long before the work begins.
The gap between an idea and a finished space is where most projects lose their way. At The Chhat Studio, we bridge that gap with a systematic approach that prioritizes clarity and client input.
Discovery and Planning
We start with a conversation. Before we touch a pen to paper, we assess the site to understand natural light, ventilation, and the flow of the room. This initial site analysis is crucial for ensuring that the design serves the function of the space rather than just its aesthetics.
Conceptualization
Once we understand the requirements, we create mood boards. These are not just collections of pretty images. They are maps of textures, color palettes, and material choices that establish the mood of your project. We test paint samples, wood stains, and fabric swatches so you can feel the quality of materials we intend to use.
Visualization
We then move to 3D rendering. This is the stage where your space comes to life digitally. You will see photorealistic views of key zones like reception areas or living rooms. We take the time to finalize lighting layouts and furniture placement here, preventing costly changes during the actual construction phase.
Technical Accuracy
Design without technical execution is just a sketch. We provide detailed drawings for civil work, electrical looping, and carpentry. This includes millimeter-accurate plans for custom furniture, ensuring that what you see in the render is exactly what gets built on-site.
Execution and Supervision
We do not just hand over a plan and walk away. We manage the process, coordinating with vendors for glass, fabrication, and signage. We schedule milestones for site visits to inspect framing, finishes, and quality, ensuring the end result aligns with the vision we finalized together.
The Chhat Studio
I'm Priya, and for me, architecture is about translating your stories into structure. At The Chhat Studio, we don't just draft plans; we create roadmaps that make sure the final result feels exactly like the vision we discussed.
