Creative Art Projects and Experimental Workshops
Art is about how you think, not just how you draw. Our projects go beyond the surface, using mythology, art history, and unconventional materials to help students build a unique creative voice.
What can Van Gogh teach us about life and creativity? This #MotivationalMonday post explores lessons from the master's life, like finding his calling late and pouring his emotions into his art, inspiring our own young artists.
Discover the secrets of Ganesha's iconic form. This post breaks down the symbolism of Ganesha's features, like his big head for wisdom and large ears for listening, turning a cultural icon into a life lesson.
A vibrant, abstract Ganesha painting by one of our students, introducing our series on the symbolism behind his form.
A student's interpretation of Ganesha's "Big Head," symbolizing wisdom and the importance of thinking big.
This artwork focuses on Ganesha's "Small Eyes," representing focus and concentration.

A detailed, patterned drawing of Ganesha's "Long Trunk," which represents adaptability and strength.
Learn techniques that inspire. This graphic promotes our watercolor workshop, covering everything from wet-on-wet techniques to experimental textures and plein-air painting.
About Additional Work
We prioritize the process over the product. Whether we are analyzing the symbolism behind Ganesha or discussing Van Gogh's resilience, my students are learning to connect deep ideas to their art. This is a space for those who want to experiment with mixed media, clay, and painting while developing their own artistic perspective.
At our Prabhadevi studio, art isn't a static skill you copy from a book. It is a way of problem-solving. My 'Thinking Curriculum' is built on the belief that a mistake is just an idea that changed its mind.
When we do projects like the Ganesha series, we aren't just drawing an icon. We are breaking down what it represents—focus, listening, and adaptability—and teaching students to translate those abstract concepts into their own visual language. We treat materials like clay, printmaking tools, and recycled objects as equals to paint and canvas.
This approach applies to everyone who walks through our doors:
- Kids and Teens: They learn to embrace the mess. By focusing on themes like 'inner monsters' or 'corals,' they move past the fear of perfection and gain the confidence to create.
- Design Aspirants: For students prepping for NID or RISD, we shift gears to focus on visual narrative, process documentation, and portfolio curation.
- Adults: Our workshops are a space to step out of the daily grind and rediscover the joy of making.
We keep our batches small, typically 6 to 10 students, so there is real, personal mentorship for everyone. My team and I are here to guide you, but the voice you find in your work will be entirely your own. If you are tired of art classes that feel like chores and want to find your own style, let’s get to work.
Purnima Sampat
I started this studio because I was bored of art classes that just copy pictures. Here, we are a bit of a weird, happy family—we make messes, we debate art, and we help you find the voice that is uniquely yours. Whether you are a teen prepping for design school or an adult rediscovering your creative side, come ready to think.
