Explore your creativity with clay in our one-day adult workshops. This video shows participants learning hand-building techniques to create a variety of functional items, from textured platters to unique bowls.
A perfect activity for family bonding. Watch as a mother and son work together in our studio to create a set of beautifully textured ceramic trays, from shaping the raw clay to the stunning final glazed product.
Plan a creative day out with your loved ones. We host customized private workshops, like this 'sisters day out', where the group enjoyed both watercolor painting and creating with clay for a memorable experience.
About Adult Clay Workshops
Unlike wheel-throwing classes that can feel technical and intimidating, our hand-building sessions are about the slow, mindful process of shaping clay with your own fingers. Whether you are making a chip-and-dip platter or a simple trinket tray, you are in control of the texture and finish. We handle the glazing and double-firing process in our kiln, so you just show up, get messy, and pick up your finished, durable piece a few weeks later.
Why Hand-Building?
We skip the potter's wheel here because we believe the best way to get comfortable with clay is through tactile manipulation. Using slab building, coiling, and pinch-pot techniques, you create organic, one-of-a-kind functional items. It is perfect for beginners who want to walk away with a mug or bowl that doesn’t look mass-produced.
The Experience
Our studio in Sector 50, Gurugram, is a space to unwind. We don't focus on perfection; we focus on the experience of making. During our "Sip and Ceramics" events, it’s not just about the clay—it’s about chatting, sharing a drink, and taking a break from the daily grind.
The Practical Bits
- Materials: We provide high-quality stoneware clay, rolling pins, canvas mats, and professional glazes.
- Timeline: Ceramics is a slow art. After you finish your piece, it needs to air dry, undergo bisque firing, get glazed, and go through a second high-fire glaze firing. Expect your pieces to be ready for pickup 2–3 weeks after your session.
- Outcomes: You will leave with a functional object that lasts. Whether it’s a textured tray for your coffee table or a platter for your dining set, your work will be food-safe and durable.
Everything you need is provided—just bring your curiosity.
