Our Landscape Design Philosophy and Studio Life
We are a Bangalore-based team of designers who believe that outdoor spaces should be more than just scenery. Here is a look at the plants we love, the environments we build, and the ideas that drive us every day.
This video explores our core belief in creating spaces for "A New Urban Living." We design landscapes that provide uninterrupted access to nature, countering the virtual disconnection of modern life with real, tangible green spaces.
A collage of the vibrant plants that fill our Bangalore office. We surround ourselves with species like Iris pseudacorus and Anthurium, as our workspace is a constant source of inspiration and a testing ground for our planting ideas.
More pops of color from our studio's plant collection. The deep purple of Tibouchina urvilleana and the delicate pink of Geranium Pelargonium remind us daily of the beauty and diversity we strive to bring to our projects.
Identifying more plants in our project, including the iconic Strelitzia reginae (Bird of Paradise). Our educational approach demonstrates our passion for horticulture and sharing our knowledge with clients.
This clip highlights the use of foliage plants like Coleus, Cordyline, and various Dracaena species. We use these to build layers of color and texture that don't rely solely on flowers.
Looking up through the delicate leaves of a Jacaranda tree against the sky. We often pause to appreciate these simple, beautiful moments in the gardens we help create.
A path carved through tall fountain grass at the Legacy Cirocco site. This image captures the feeling of being enveloped by nature, a key experience we aim to design.
A view of the jogging track and newly planted beds at Vaishnavi Tech Square, set against a backdrop of coconut palms. This shows how we blend our designs with the existing local landscape.
An evening shot of a building under construction at the Good Shepherd Cathedral site. The warm interior light highlights the architectural forms that our landscape will soon complement.
Flowering shrubs line a road at Aamby City. Even in large-scale infrastructure projects, we prioritize adding color and life through thoughtful planting.
About Our Philosophy & Studio Life
You will often find us testing new species in our own office garden before they ever reach a client site. We believe in getting our hands dirty to understand how plants like Calathea lutea or Tibouchina urvilleana actually perform in Bangalore’s climate, ensuring our designs thrive long after we finish the installation.
For us, landscape architecture is not about filling space with greenery. It is about crafting environments that function as a reprieve from the virtual, fast-paced nature of modern life. We approach every project as a dialogue between human needs and the natural potential of a site.
Our Approach to Green Spaces
We treat plants as the soul of our landscapes. Rather than relying on a generic planting list, we often select over 70 unique species for a single project to build layers of texture and color that evolve with the seasons. Whether it is sourcing a Strelitzia reginae for a tropical courtyard or installing fountain grass at a site in Hoskote, our focus is on plants that are suited to the specific light and soil conditions of your property.
Balancing Form and Function
Our design process is deeply collaborative. We start by analyzing the sun path, wind direction, and existing vegetation at your site. We then balance the 'softscape' (the plants) with 'hardscape' elements—like water bodies, stone pathways, or pergolas—to create a functional space. We enjoy the challenge of working with diverse site types, from the structural requirements of a corporate tech park to the personal scale of a residential terrace.
The Human Element
We want to create places where people actually want to linger. We design with intent, placing benches, lighting, and pathways to encourage interaction and quiet moments of reflection. Our team is hands-on throughout the entire lifecycle of a project, from the initial master plan and 3D visualization to the final day of planting. If you are looking to transform your patch of Bangalore, whether it is a small balcony or a large estate, we are here to walk you through the process.
